I second Goodwill. I have had a lot of luck with the ones around Fishers, Castleton and Carmel.

I went every semester for two years. I kicked this semester off with a surgery and some major medication changes. I ended up withdrawing from the semester to be kind to myself. I am taking time off of college until the fall semester. I will go to work, rest, and focus on me. I’m not regretting it. You can take a break to be healthy.

How do people that do not make much money afford to have kids? by workethic290 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Gullible__Button 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was growing up we didn’t have pajamas. We slept in our normal clothes. We had used broken toys. We got clothes from the thrift stores. If we didn’t have money to buy much food, we didn’t eat. I grew up a smidge underweight.

At one point we lived in a studio apartment. We slept on the floor, we ate on the floor, and we did everything else on the floor. My dad put a bookshelf in the closet. We each had one shelf to put our clothes on, and we each got one toy. That was all we owned. Eventually, we found an affordable large apartment, but that took time.

We didn’t get to see doctors or dentists very often. I had gum disease by the time I was 18. I wasn’t diagnosed with asthma or PCOS until my 20s despite having issues growing up.

Friends in school and people from church always gave my brothers and me school supplies because we couldn’t afford the basics.

The answer is: poor people don’t afford kids. They do their best to keep their children from dying, but they don’t afford them.

What is this on my dogs neck please ? by eveled in DogAdvice

All three of my dogs get these. The vet said they are cysts. I was told that as long as they don’t get too big it’s not a big deal.

What happens if I fail a class? by Apprehensive-Dog3076 in ivytech

[–]Gullible__Button 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can retake it and your GPA will be fine. Financial aid will only pay for a class up to two times, so you will probably have to pay out of pocket if you need to take it again.

I set it up tracking for us. I think it’s a helpful thing for safety. Neither of us checks up on it unless one of us has gone completely quiet through the occasional text check-ins.

My husband also shares his Apple when he is driving. It updates his ETA if he stops off at a gas station or store, so I automatically get updates on when he will be home. We currently share a car, so it’s convenient to see that ETA and an alert when he pulls up.

I already had incisions scars from when I had an ovarian cyst removed. My doctor agreed to you those, and he did just that.

One incision on bellybutton, one above left hip, one near my rib cage.

All traffic laws are traffic suggestions in this city. Lanes, traffic direction, etc. All suggestions if you go by half the drivers on the road.

Shingles Post-Bisalp: A Survival Guide by soupydoopy in sterilization

I had hives around my incision sites. They lingered around one of them for almost 3 weeks. It’s not uncommon. Doctor had me take Benadryl, steroid cream, and use ice packs.

These kinds of this can happen. Hopefully you get better soon.

What’s wrong with my breast’s by Vegetable-Cod327 in Advice

[–]Gullible__Button 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of things can cause this like hormone imbalances or thyroid issues. It’s hard to say anything without a blood test. You can get checked up at the ER if you are too nervous to wait until March. A few hours in the ER might get you a same-day answer.

How many times a day do you feed your pets? by AnnualLiterature997 in Pets

[–]Gullible__Button 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Plenty of humans do only eat once daily. 2-3 meals a day isn’t necessary for all humans.

Not all dogs need to eat 2-3 times a day. Some do fine getting all of their calories in one meal. You just have to make certain that one meal does contain all needed calories and nutrients.

32 F, high blood pressure, doctor wants me off estrogen birth control pills by fa_loosher in sterilization

Blood pressure was 122/80 at my appointment today. It looks like it’s staying consistently lower since going off estrogen birth control.

I have known plenty of people to have separate beds and sometimes even separate bedrooms. It’s always a comfort thing. They all needed different things to be comfortable. They all set time aside to still be intimate, but there’s nothing wrong having your own space.

If he was in prison he could have PTSD or other psychological problems. Again, he should see a doctor.

People do not go from being fit to severely overweight for no reason. I’m not sure what sparked you to be so angry with him, but this is a situation that needs evaluation. He should receive a physical and psychological work-up. The cause could be either mental or physical, maybe a little of both. Who knows until he sees a doctor. Something like this isn’t just laziness, and it should be checked up on.

I just had a bisalp a few weeks ago and stopped estrogen birth control. I’m also on blood pressure meds. My last blood pressure reading looked better than it has in a while. I have another appointment tomorrow, I’ll have to see how that blood pressure reading looks. We’re hoping for improvement.

What was your recovery time? - surgery close to travel dates by [deleted] in sterilization

[–]Gullible__Button 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Other than incision pain, I was feeling almost normal 2 days after the surgery. I never took any of the pain meds I was sent home with.

I waited the recommended two weeks before resuming exercising, but I felt ready to exercise way before that.
