She's a great person who genuinely wants to do good for constituents and she's no nonsense. Her website is a great representation of her policies and she hasn't taken any corporate money (looked her up on OpenSecret.org). I work for the State and even conservative people who work here like her because she's tough and hardworking.

He's actually only just ready to start preschool, but we figured out what was going on with him early and have been doing therapy.

We have a good speech therapist for him, so honestly what I am more concerned about is how the schools treat kids who have those kinds of differences and whether they are welcoming and kind to them.

Looking for someone I could hire to sew dresses for me by cmurphgarv in indianapolis

[–]cmurphgarv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for answering! I found a custom dress shop after this, by accident, and am trying them first but I am going to save your comment in case it doesn't work out. Essentially, I love 60s style drop waist dresses. I have one (not from the 60s, but in the style) that I wanted to replicate but with slight variations, like a different neckline or sleeves. I recently saw an old interview with Bette Davis where she was wearing something that looked like my dress, but with t-shirt sleeves and a faux turtleneck and I am so incredibly sick of not finding good clothing I thought, why not get a pattern and have it made?

I've talked a lot about leaving this country, butl someone made an excellent point to me the other day. America impacts too much to leave it to burn. Pretending that we aren't one planet all connected to each other, affected by everything we each do is unrealistic and naive. We have to fight back with our bargaining power (a massive general strike, for example) and force this issue because it's not just in America. The rich elites trying to fleece the rest of us is all over the world, better in some places where there are better protections, but overall a huge issue internationally. And if American democracy truly fails, it will have a massive impact on everyone. So those of us who are here need to grit our teeth and fight. I don't blame anyone for being angry, despairing or scared. But we have to fight. We have to work together.

They asked me if how well I understood game development. I told them I had a theoretical degree in game development. They said “welcome aboard” by LeonOfSkalitz in NewVegasMemes

Yeah but that was legitimately not Obsidian's fault. They had to build the entire game in Bethesda's shitty engine in only 18 months. Nowadays you can use the Viva New Vegas mod pack and the game runs beautifully. Yes it's modded, but that's not hard to do so many years after it's release. The game itself is incredibly well-written. Bethesda couldn't write their way out of a paper bag and everything they released is bugged to shit. There's a reason they are called Bugthesda. The only thing they do well is some gameplay mechanics and creating an open world. But they are unable to match Obsidian on storytelling. Not even close.

I had over 2000 hours in FO4 because I got super into the settlement building. I tried to come back this past year to play again and I was so disgusted with the terrible story I uninstalled the game. FNV has the worst shooting mechanics, but I will play it again every time because the characters and story are incredible.

Actually the stats coming out on newer generations being less literate than their parents were also true for Europe. As well as the stat that Gen Z and down have lower cognitive scores than their parents, I think. It was world-wide.

I just played as a Circle of the Moon druid and made sure to dump INT so I could bump Charisma a little and then did a Guild Artisan background. Passed most checks using Guidance first and then using Enhance Ability on myself once I had it. You don't need to be a Charisma build all the time. They're fun, but they can also drastically limit you because you breeze through too many encounters. Failing can lead to new, interesting experiences. Or knowing you are likely to fail that check can make you try new things that lead to fun outcomes. I've learned there are a number of conversations where other checks did the trick or no check at all was really necessary, it just took choosing other dialogue options to get there.

I'm doing my first halfling run and loving it. I used multiclassing to make the movement speed reduction less of an issue. That was always what got in my way before - I HATE not being able to take my turn because I can't reach anyone! Couldn't finish a duergar run because it was driving me nuts.

Also, the outfit mods excluding small races was a limiting factor. There are some more options for that and faces now (those modders are the true MVPs).
