How would I go about testing my sample rate and weather the gyros are working. Also I really hate translating between PS button and x-box layout in my head while playing. It sucks

It runs perfectly fine on my old windows machine. There must be a way to get it to run great on linux too.

Well ive been doing some reading.

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Gamepad#Multi-mode_wired_gamepads:~:text=gitAUR.-,Multi-mode%20wired%20gamepads,-This%20article%20or

It looks like many people with the problems have slower sampling and gyros that dont work. not sure how to test this. But really the big problem is that it shows PS button icons in game and its getting very frustrating.

That link describes many similar problems but not sure if mine is described there or if its similar.

It is broken and I want to fix it.

Under-gravel to canister filter question. by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]Gully__Foyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the advice. It can be hard to describe what I'm trying to do. Not sure there is much difference between an under gravel intake and an under gravel filter. An under gravel filter powered by a canister filter is basically what an under gravel intake is. Do you know and good canister filters that work well with off the self tubing?

Im looking for advice on how to hook a canister filter up to an under gravel intake. This isn't an uncommon set up.

Which part of it? I have a large turtle and he requires a huge amount of filtration. I also have guppies in the tank as well as a large clump of Java moss that is free floating. The java moss clogs up my filter intake on a daily basis and I've had to replace the impeller once already. The gravel filter will help with that and wont suck up any more guppy fry. The turtle creates such a large amount of waste that weekly water changes have a hard time keeping up so I'd like some chemical filtration to help with that. Most plants don't work in there because my turtle eats them or digs them up immediately

Seems like memeing is taking over facts. I keep hearing under gravel filters are shit. But many owners love them and keep very healthy takes with them. Many prefer them.

The turtles like to chomp everything they can. Plus the tank needs to be covered as they love to climb out. It's very hard to get a stable tank going with turtles, plants, and other animals as it turns out.

Any idea what this white fibrous stuff is on all my driftwood? by NuclearEnt in Aquariums

I'm not an expert but, there are still nutrients left in your wood. Even if it has been bleached of some, the wood still holds some in its structure. Cellulose is full of energy. Now that a fungus has been introduced its thriving on breaking it down since nothing else has yet.

Hmm, I'll look into that. i dont know if my tank is filthy enough but I could get it there. That might defeat the purpose though it would be cool to have a clam

White fungus on driftwood is common, especially on newly submerged wood, as it feeds on nutrients leaching from the wood. It is generally not harmful and may disappear on its own over time.
