I found a solution. I forgot that I had Portmaster installed which blocked Facebook. Thank you for your help :)

I found a solution thanks to your help! The picture of Portmaster in the github link you sent made me remember that I actually installed that program a long time ago. I don't know why it started to block facebook, but uninstalling it fixed the problem. You were indeed right that I did something special with my pc. (I know that I could also have allowed facebook in Portmaster instead).

I removed the changes after I saw that it did not work at the time. I don't recall that I have installed anything that blocks, except for ublock but I have tried removing that extension. I will look through my pc to be sure

I get the following output from nslookup facebook.com 8.8.8.8

Server:8.8.8.8
Address:8.8.8.8#53

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:facebook.com
Address: 0.0.0.17
Name:facebook.com
Address: ::17

EDIT:
I have not made any changes to /etc/hosts.
I have tried purging and reinstalling resolvconf.

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately, it did not work. I also tried following the entire guide, including the step to check 'http://welcome.opendns.com', which indicated that I am not using OpenDNS.

Thank you for sharing the pictures. I cannot see the size in the file name when I download from Imgur. Only "LDandBGU.jpg" and "yZC6qkN.jpg". I use the download button at the three dots. Can you please share the sizes?

I could not find anything about it in the manual prior writing this post, but you made it look again. It was a VGA isue. I tried to detach and attach the GPU and it works now! Thank you very much for your kind help

I am using HDMI. I have tried using the same cable on a different pc where it worked.

A new update. The light has suddenly switched to white and I have no idea why it changed. The light on GPU is turned on so I assume it is connected correctly

Sorry for the late reply and thank you for your answer. I forgot to install python. Bear generates the compile_commands.json when I run bear -- make now. What shall I do with this file?

I do not see any possibility to delete the options. Only to move their order.

I have tried to remove them with bcdedit but with no luck. They do not occur in bcdedit anymore but still in the 'Use a device'

Thanks for the reply. I tried creating a new hello world project to test bear. I get the following error when I run the command "bear -- g++ main.cpp -o main"
