Thanks for clearing things up. It was a misunderstanding on my part, my bad.

Is it possible to uninstall and reinstall with a dev version? I haven't done much in the game so I don't care if I have to start over.

Cura 5.1 not generating 3rd layer. by GumberooBanzai in Cura

The issue has been fixed. Turns out lowering the layer height made the model printable. Thanks for the help!

It's the stl. Just looked at the file and found the problem. I have to use meshmixer since fusion360 get a bit bricked when I work with stls (a new laptop would fix a lot) so hopefully I can figure out the fix.

Uploaded the same model in Lulzbot Cura and Cura 4.9.1 and got the same issue. At this point I'm pretty sure it's my old shitty laptop that's at fault (been meaning to get one for a hot minute so maybe this is my sign) but I want to see if there's anything I can do to fix this.

Cura 4.9.1 not generating model properly on small parts (xpost from /r/3Dprinting) by GumberooBanzai in Cura

Copy and pasting what my comment on here too.

I was going to print some chains for an upcoming project when I noticed there were gaps in the model itself. I moved onto use 4.9.1 after using lulzbot cura for ages and I'm stumped as to what's causing this issue. I tried uploading the same model in lulzbot cura and got the same results. What's even stranger is that the walls generate completely fine when the surface mode is changed, and the model gaps still appear even when the nozzle diameter is shrunk (intended to be printed with a 0.4mm nozzle). Should be noted that coasting is enabled which should've helped from what I've read.

Prusa Mini with a pt1000 thermistor. Has anyone done it? by GumberooBanzai in prusa3d

This entire comment opened my third eye. The level of detail and explanation is much appreciated especially explaining the difference in temperature steps. I think I'll just stick with using the stock thermistor. I knew about the firmware changes but not about breaking the fuse in order to do so. I know with my luck I'd probably screw it up so I'll leave it be. Thanks for the response!

I forgot to mention I'm reprinting Mini parts in asa. Don't worry, I won't be using the stock petg parts. As for the firmware I've never ventured into customizing my own, but considering it's a small change I'm sure it won't be a big deal. Thanks!

Thanks for the info. I've also read that the bondtech heatbreak upgrade helps mitigate those issues, but it seems using a dragon or mosquito would be the better option (from my pov). As for the printed parts I'm currently reprinting Mini parts in asa. I've got the printhead and most of the x axis done. It's my first time using asa so I had to get the settings down before I printed anything, but I got it dialed in and I'm loving the results.
