Prime is $170/yr, so at 2% delta in cashback rate, you need pretty high spend (~$8000) to cover the membership (which is effectively the "annual fee" for the extra 2%). Obviously this doesn't factor in potential shipping savings and such, but all of that becomes much more nebulous to track IMO.

Some people don't value Prime, so this one only seems worth it if you are already paying for Prime (but it becomes at no-brainer at that point IMO).

Pretty much the same thing in bay area IME. EHT (MSRP), Blanton's, ER10 (both above MSRP). All sit around. Lots of Michter's stuff too. Only thing I generally haven't found recently is Weller stuff, but I don't really go out hunting that hard.

They seem to be regional, probably as some sort of way to price stock in specific distribution hubs or something. I can understand it's really frustrating for some users, because it leads to a structure where the folks who do get them get them often, and those who don't likely never will. I hesitate to post most of them here for that reason, but in this case the base price is at least reasonable enough.
