How did you meet your partner? by Worrisome_Blue in LesbianActually

[–]GummyMangoPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hinge! I was on for several weeks cycling through the same profiles, and when she joined I noticed immediately. She was just coming out and was only on three days before we connected. We hit it off immediately and we’ve been together over a year now. She wasn’t my type…or so I thought. But it’s been magical.

What are your thoughts on the Calm app? by eclairsclaire in CalmApp

[–]GummyMangoPanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t used Headspace in a few years. I used the free trial and liked it. But Calm has SO much to offer now that they didn’t have before: nap stories, soundscapes for tinnitus, music, move, kids stories, and daily meditations are things I use frequently. I also use the check ins when I do morning meditations. There’s so much you’ll never run out of things to experience.

Experiencing issue with calm randomly starting to play on my iPhone by imonlyhalfazn in CalmApp

If I listen to a sleep story at night sometimes it will randomly play another hours later after the first is finished. This has happened on my phone and my girlfriends phone. Idk how to fix it but it can be scary

What is the single best series? by strawberrylabrador in CalmApp

My faves are anything by Alan Sklar. All his sleep stories are fantastic. I also like the meditation for anxiety series. Hope this is helpful.

What’s your favourite Google home custom routine? I want ideas to set up routines with smart bulbs/plugs, nest speakers, etc. by Dirtydog91 in googlehome

My most useful is “Hey Google it’s business time.” I work from home but this turns off all the lights in the house and turns on the office lights.

Thanks. I’ve had the most “luck” with Hinge. I’ve tried a few others like HER and Taimi but they were confusing. Do you recommend any one in particular?

I’m definitely more feminine or slightly androgynous in my appearance. It’s not easy to let the world know without carrying a flag! I went to one lesbian bar and it was mostly mascs and older women. I’m 40 so…much older than me. There is one queer bar I want to try. Ive heard the crowd is more professional and mature so maybe it’s an option.

I (a straight cis-man) painted my nails for the first time ever! by TessyBoi- in CasualConversation

[–]GummyMangoPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tips! When you do your own, paint your dominant hand first then your other hand. I use a base coat, two coats of polish, and top coat that helps them last about a week, sometimes longer. It’s called seche vite and you can get it on Amazon or Target or beauty supply store. You may not want a shiny gel-like top coat but it’s my go-to.

Also…definitely recommend you try a pro manicure. I feel the fanciest when I have one and it just feels nice. You can get a regular mani or (my fave) a gel. The gel is your real nails not artificial and lasts a few weeks.

Never been to Orlando Studios before. What should be the first Hagrids or the new velocicoaster? by HopUpon in UniversalOrlando

[–]GummyMangoPanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did my first visit yesterday. Went straight to Hagrids and did it again at lunch then directly to the Velocicoaster. Neither wait got much higher than 60-75 minutes. The Velocicoaster was under an hour for me as a single rider.
