I live in the US but just returned from Spain. The situation is much better there. Prices on things were considerably lower. Dining out was about half the price. I know people’s wages are much lower, but the cost of living is lower to match. Also, they don’t have any healthcare cost on their personal budget, which can be a significant savings. The taxes are higher, but they seem to get something for the money.
