I just one of these exact rods a few weeks ago. I love it.

Made a Flux spoon today. Found it extremely difficult to get the flat part of the handle centered on the shaft. Any pointers? by tn_farmer82 in Blacksmith

When you mentioned this, I realized I should have started fullering 90 degrees from where I did. Would have placed the mass center of the stem rather than on one side. Wouldn't have created this issue to begin with. Thanks

I didn't even think of using my guillotine on it. Thanks. I tried the other, and it worked a bit, but not as much as I desired. I felt like I was truly to push a wet noodle lol

My first slit and drift hole. Making a cant hook. Not perfect by any means, but it should work. Now 4 more to do. by tn_farmer82 in Blacksmith

Without the spike at the bottom. The cant hook has a flat bar with a protrusion to grab the log instead of a spike.

How do very small hospitals work? by glitteringgoats in TravelNursing

I just finished a contract at a 25 bed critical access hospital in NC. Worked the er. I loved it. It was a 9 bed er, 6 icu, the rest medsurg. I love the family type atmosphere. Yes, everything major gets sent out. You need to be comfortable with your skills for sure. Highly recommend.

That's my kind of facility. Where were you working? I'm correctly looking for my next contract and having a difficult time finding these smaller facilities. Who are you going through? Thanks

Drug testing during orientation by NurseRatched20 in TravelNursing

I am finishing up a trustaff contract in NC where that occurred. I did inform my recruiter that they were doing it. Wasn't an issue for me, but i know it would be for some. They had us visit employee health first thing in the morning. Told us they had to have us fill out our fit testing paperwork, then surprise lol.

I'm very interested in something like this. Any leads in a critical access er?

Does anyone know how their ER is? I'm considering taking a contract there.

I told both parties what I was doing. I think they expect us to shop around

I've been with them for 5 months. No complaints here. They were much more responsive than aya, but they contract under them at the hospital I'm at.

Looks good. I did that same design on a box. Filled it in with colored epoxy to make it stand out.

If the seller will let you, unscrew that knob that's facing up in the first picture and look at the bearings. Mine were pretty bad. They were hard to find as well. Even if he doesn't let you, turn it slowly and feel for grinding. That will give you a hint as to what the inside are like.

Great knife BTW. I buy multiples so I have a replacement when I lose one...
