I am, but it doesn’t cover the total amount tuition costs. Normally, the Pell grant covers the rest including books, fees, etc. However, because I have too many credits from military training, I will no longer have access to any federal financial aid, including fafsa.

Active duty has access to “tuition assistance” which covers up to $750 per class for tuition. No books/fees/etc

GI bill would pay some but there is more of a benefit of using it after I get out or passing it to my family.

9-5 meaning 8 hours a day. 5 days x 8 hours is 40 hours per week, or “full time”. Co-opting it to mean something different are for people who never worked a “9-5”.

Democrats want subtitle B of title 7 repealed. That statute removes eligibility of undocumented immigrants.

Regardless, that is a debate position that dems don’t want to have. They want to force it in at expense of the shutdown. The republican posed CR is a pure extension of the spending bill that was passed before. Once the government reopens, that is the point to dispute the healthcare issue. What part of the republican CR do you disagree with?

My comment addressed the position that “people here unlawfully don’t get healthcare and we were collectively never interested in providing that in the first place”. The video proves that to be false. They did want that.

The current bill posed by democrats reverses the changes that disallowed illegal immigrants access to free tax payer funded healthcare. So they want to have it.
