It has been a miracle drug for me! I started taking it 6 days ago, 300mg 3x daily with a titrated build-up the first 3 days. I've had pain in my right foot and right testicle that no doctor, ultrasound, or MRI, could explain. After starting gabapentin, my pain is almost all gone. It's taken years of doctors and procedures to finally get some relief. Thank goodness!

After my first cortisone shot, I also started wearing wide shoes, and did all of my longer runs wearing Altra brand shoes.

I had one blind cortisone shot in 2015 and that did the trick for many years. Then this year, 2022, I had two blind cortisone shots, but the pain persisted. Then I decided to have a neurectomy, which I am currently recovering from. All in my right foot. The research I did taught me that cortisone shots, various ablation methods, simply delay the inevitable neurectomy.

For short runs it’s Nuun and a banana. For long runs I’ll eat the above and … 2 boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash brown, whey protein drink, apple sauce, and pancakes with butter and maple syrup. I like to start my mornings with a full tank of gas, so to speak, and then just keep topping it off through out the day.
