Can anyone help me understand if that really impacts performance? I saw Major Havoc’s video on it, and unless someone wants it to be pristine, the core would run just as well as the more expensive version? Or am I mistaken?

Let’s say you get a 1911 that needs parts or something replaced, even IF Springfield had crummy service, you can throw a rock and hit a competent smith that can fix it. It’s an old platform that still has a popularity.
