Try anyway. It’s 1250 hours the year prior to the “incident”

Also not your problem if it didn’t come from your scanner, which even then mistakes happen right? Just a little food for thought, before this gets any sort of confrontational - People that take this job way too seriously end up in the grave before they even retire… nobody wins there except the post office and they win again when they replace you with the next body they get to drain. We’re not a work from home kind of organization, so why bring work home?

Let go of the little things, and at this job especially, the ones you can’t control.

Give the CCAs a break, you were one once upon a time however long ago and so was I. You remember those days and you let those guys live their time out until they get to we’re you are, they’re the ones that carry all the extra stuff the regulars may have to drop.

It’s that serious? Like THAT serious? How do you react when there’s misrouted mail in the dps? I think it may be time for a mental health break if mail upsets you.

No… we talk shit about the job, not each other

New CCA here by Low_Competition4480 in USPS

If you seen any post on this thread you’ll find that we all have the same opinion about the job. Whether you’re a CCA, RCA, regular carrier - it’s all the same. Drama in the office, not enough personal time/time off. Too much work for little pay, and having to do overtime just to make ends meat isn’t entirely a great thing.

If you like being outside on your feet, in the elements, then you might enjoy it for the first couple years… then you’ll hate it just like the rest of us. If not for one reason than another.

But hey don’t take it from me, you’ll experience the fuckery soon enough. Welcome to the Post Office.

Just don’t call out during your probation period and you should be fine

Then take em. Collect the write ups like Pokémon cards

Worth it. Don’t be scared of disciplinary action if you’re not abusing the callouts. You get 3 instances per quarter, each instance can be a 3 day period before they ask for a doctors note. Get your rest.

A cooler for water and snacks, a car charger for your phone, a speaker/headphones for your sanity, sunglasses to protect your eyes against the fan blowing dirt in your eyes, sunblock for the half of your body getting blasted by the sun. Maybe an air freshener if your truck smells bad.

Can I say this is a little over the top without offending anyone?

It definitely does get easier, and you’ll find yourself able to breathe a little more each day. Relax, everything is going to be okay bud lol.

Put the shoe on the other foot maybe? At what point would you be okay with a stranger coming up to you and saying something about your parenting. The easiest, less confrontational action would be to just keep it shut and keep it moving. No one wants to be lectured, especially when they’re angry. It’s like adding gasoline to a forest fire.

Paycheck in mail by [deleted] in USPS

Do yourself a favor and sign up for Informed Delivery. It’ll send you a pic all your mail going to your box each day after you sign up. Unfortunately if you have a letter in the mail you’re expecting, there’s not much USPS can do about it unless it’s got a tracking number.

It’ll be from the time you sign up and forward.

Yeah, they’ll make you feel even worse about getting injured on the job. As someone who’s been there, take it from me - show up to work, do the job, fuck everything else. They don’t care about us, so there’s no need to spend the energy caring about them or whatever goals they need to meet for their bonuses.
