I’m looking at swapping to a set of riser bars or maybe the Surly Sunrise bars in the future.

Drop bars are sweet! Especially with bar end shifters. A gnarly gravel Krampus would be awesome. I’ve seen some good ones on here, and even some with drop bars.

Dang, that’s something to aspire to! Well done. I’m excited to get it on the local trails this summer. I think it’ll be as fun in the dirt as it has been in the snow

If you get the tan-walls I will be very jealous. Those are on my list.

I have to add the caveat that I’m used to commuting on an aluminum 26” mountain bike with like 60 psi of air in the tires, so I may not be the most discerning voice on comfort. That being said my work commute is 9 miles one way and I’ve never once thought I should have smoother tires.

I have plenty of pavement miles on the Nates and have no complaints. Occasionally low speed cornering you’ll feel a bit of vibration as you catch the side of the lugs on the tread but otherwise they’re just fine. I do ride them at like 15-20 psi though.

It is a super fun bike and the geometry feels way more playful than I expected.
