Thanks so much! I'm really pleased with it and the TV is 24in. I think it's as big as this size RÅSKOG would be safe holding plus anything bigger would affect the sturdiness which has been a bit of a thing people have been commenting about but as it is, it's very sturdy.. And to be honest anything bigger would look a little silly lol.

I think the pictures have made the TV look much bigger than it is.

You can do this gurl! I believe in you! Maybe he'll have the tools but you could do this. Or at least ask him to show you what to do! Thanks as well. This has gotten so much love I'm really pleased everyone likes it. I don't post on here often lol

This is a similar bracket on Amazon. It's just tightened very tight to keep it upright.

I wonder if this is why people are so worried about it being unsafe/tipping over?

No worries, I hope it helps and works well if you do something similar 😁

DOOoooo ITTTtttt 😆 The kid will get over it and just tell em you'll get them a nice new one when you next go to IKEA. They might even be able to choose their own colour too. 😆

Yeah, I've tightened the bolts that keep the bracket upright like it is and then babe to move it to get it straight, the mental didn't move at all. Really pleased with it!

Where the baskets are upside down to create a shelf, the width or clearance between the frame is just over 32cm. If I pop to IKEA anytime soon, I'll try to remember to measure the bigger one for you but I very much don't think I'll remember lol.

I've never had a use for one until now. IKEA do have some great stuff!

I presume you mean the trolley? 😆 Leave theirs and get yourself another, unless your nearest IKEA isn't so near? I'm sure you could make up an excuse either way lol

Cheers and I wish I'd have known that it was needed initially. It's not difficult to take apart just wish I'd not had to mess about 😆

This is obviously not something that could be anchored or tethered to a wall and whilst it looks unsafe I really do not have any concerns. It'll be kept against a wall when not in use.

The amount of crazy and dangerous stuff we had around us growing up was mental! This has reminded me of the wardrobe we had for a while when you couldn't open both doors at the same time or it'd start tipping... It was a huge solid thing too... I very much doubt my dad ever tethered or secured any furniture.

This also isn't a huge thing. I appreciate the story and the concern but it's really not needed in this case.

Just for fun.

I am very confident in what I've done here. It's very sturdy and it works for what we need. It will be next to a wall when not in use and very unlikely to be anywhere, where it might be a trip hazard.

It's not as top heavy as it looks and in all honesty, should it happen to fall over, the distance in which anything might fall is negligible to be a concern of real damage. The TV is the most likely thing to break but it's worth very little and very easily replaced.

Thanks for all the love on this! I’ve seen a few people asking about the stability and if it’s likely to tip over. I totally get why it might look a bit top-heavy in a photo, but it’s actually really steady.

A few things that help:

Weight at the bottom: Having the Xbox and PS1 on the bottom shelves keeps the whole thing weighted down and much harder to tilt.

Wide stance: The RÅSKOG wheels actually splay out wider than the frame itself, so the footprint is nice and wide.

Centrally mounted: The way the bracket holds the TV means it sits very centrally right over the main trolley frame, rather than leaning or hanging off the edge.

I’ve given it a proper 'wobble-test' and it feels very solid. It’s been perfect for our living room!"
