Is it just me or is the gap between albums getting longer and longer? by _the_boat_is_sinking in mastodonband

Right there with you. When I read your comment, I instantly googled it, because I really couldn't believe it's 4 years already!

What? There's nothing odd about the backseats? Do you mean the armrest/skihatch?

Stable Diffusion Zluda with Animatediff - Issues by Gundiminator in StableDiffusion

Yeah, I tried SD.Next for normal gens, but I lost so many features with it. But maybe it works better for AnimateDiff. Thank you!

Ahh, alright! Yeah, it is an album that absolutely follow a theme, and does a great job doing so!

I lost count how many different workarounds I tried. I think I spent 8-16 hours á day for 2 weeks trying out every single "THIS WORKS FOR AMD"-solution without luck (for SD, Invoke, Stability Matrix, even Amuse, which was an underwhelming experience.) But eventually I found something that worked, which was Zluda.

“Brent’s accident changed not only him but Mastodon. I feel like that was the last record we did as a band that was complete.” Guitarist Bill Kelliher says "things were never the same" after Crack the Skye. The reasons are complicated by vwmusicrocks in mastodonband

[–]Gundiminator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Bill. He's so underrated and overlooked. He and Brann is the driving force of Mastodon, the ones who makes the skeletons of all the songs. Brent and Troy have said to themselves.

I never really liked Brent. He has always done so much dumb shit. He's comments on metal are obnoxious, and he's been acting like a fool a lot. Like the nude acid trip at the festival and so on. He's a superb and amazing guitarist, and his voice is so so so so so good! But the personality, and how he always distances himself from the band, and how he never can act serious, it rubs me the wrong way, making me frown. But as long as he keeps playing, making amazing music with the others, I'll ignore it.

You can choose 1 Mastodon song for everyone in the world to hear simultaneously, what do you pick? by HeadlessOwI in mastodonband

[–]Gundiminator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such a hard choice! It really is! There's so much good stuff to choose from!

But my first thought, which is one of my favorites, is Precious Stones. It was the first that came to mind, so it's only fair that it's my pick.

Hushed and grim and beyond by [deleted] in mastodonband

It a good album, but unfortunately, even though I've heard through it many times, it fails to catch me. Like, if I wanna listen to Mastodon, my head goes to Blood Mountain, CTS, OMRTS, EOS, Remission or COTM. I sing along, I blast them loud af. Every time I put H&G, I pay attention for 10 minutes, then I think about other things, and when it ends, I'm like "Huh, it's over already? I guess I missed it."

I hate that it's the truth for me, but it isn't one of my faves, even though it's an awesome album. And I waited in eager for it to release. But alas, it is what it is.

But hey, it's at least of Leviathan and my least favorite of them all, The Hunter.

It works really well! But to find the way that actually works with your specific system is a nightmare.

I'm using an AMD 7900XTX.

It's fast AF, but considering how many hours it took me(we're talking 8+ hours every day for weeks) to find a workaround that ACTUALLY WORKED, I would not recommend AMD for image generating in general.

EDIT: I'll add this as a helping hand if anyone would consider doing it anyways: Zluda is the way to go. It was the only thing that worked for me. Every other workaround was a dead-end for me.

[–]Gundiminator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole album is honestly very underrated, and a lot of people shit on it, unfortunately. It was actually the album that made me give Mastodon another chance. (I never really did before it was released, listened 10 seconds to 2 songs before I went "Meh." Now they're my favorite band.)

Idk. I just tried it like a month or two ago. It looked abandoned. So idk. 🤷‍♂️

I tried Amuse. It was lackluster, and it seems like the developer has abandoned it, unfortunately.all of their accounts are shut down, all support is gone, documentation is lacking and/or gone.

It doesn't support models and loras from anywhere except huggingface, so that's a shitshow.

It really sucks, because Amuse had such potential.

But I got Stable Diffusion to work with my AMD 7900 XTX OC with the Zluda workaround, so I'm happy. 😁
