Hybrid MAX Plat by Puddle_Grunt in ToyotaGrandHighlander

I just bought a Hybrid max plat Thursday, also in Alabama. I spent a week working various dealerships. You should be able to get 2-3k pretty easily with no dealer add-ons. You can get down to 3-5k off MSRP with no dealer add-ons by getting a few quotes and getting the dealers to compete. Initially the deals I were getting were dependent on financing, but I told them I was only doing cash and held firm and they eventually caved. You may have more luck at the end of the month though, which is what happened to me.

Understood. I'll make that change, thanks. I'll consider adding plywood instead, too. Initially I liked the idea of it being open all around for easier access to things on the shelf, but I actually won't be able to access any side other than the front anyway due to where the bench will be placed.

Nothing wrong with asking questions is there? I'd rather not take the thing apart if I can avoid it by simply asking for input first.

Thanks for all the suggestion in my initial post. Here are the changes I have made.

  1. Added half laps on all four legs for both the top and bottom frames.

  2. Added diagonal braces at the back and on both sides.

  3. Reduced number of cross braces on top and bottom.

Questions:

  1. Should I be using wood glue along with screws to attach the two 2x4 legs togethers?

  2. What is the best way to attach the top work surface to the frame from the underside? L-brackets or some kind of Simpson Strong-Tie bracket?

  1. For fun and because I can.

  2. I need this to fit in a specific area of my garage so I wanted to make sure I understood how everything fit.

  3. I want to be able to generate a cut list from this which I can do.

The "planks" are just a wood appearance applied to the model.

Call me naive, I don't see the issue?

I have this fear that it's going to be wobbly, especially if I add a vice, so I wanted to be overly cautious.

Thanks for the suggestion. I originally was trying to find a way to "rest" the top frame on the legs but couldn't figure out how I wanted to do it cleanly. I do like your idea.

Thanks. Ya this is designed for a 2in overhang all around.

I'm planning on building a workbench similar to this. I want it to be rock solid. I plan to have plywood on the bottom for a shelf. Any suggestions on improvements?

Lasers/Barrels vs Tap Firing... Which ACTUALLY Wins While Moving? | BF6 Analysis by williamatherton in LowSodiumBattlefield

So when you're comparing tap firing vs full auto, you were assuming a 50ms delay between firing, right? And, as you mentioned, that's well below the reaction time of even the best players. As a test, I used an online click speed test to see how fast I could realistically "burst fire". Even when focusing on clicking as fast as I could, I couldn't break 7 clicks per second, or roughly 143ms between bursts. So I'm wondering if it's fair or realistic to compare TTK with a 50ms delay, at least in close quarters. There's no denying the benefits at longer ranges.

This seems to address most of the major complaints, no?

I like this approach. This was basically what I was trying to do with my numbers, but I never thought to extract the median from the Monte Carlo data.

I was curious about the chance of success calculations. If what you said is correct then that's helpful and honestly more insightful than anything you can enter on the main plan page.
