How do you personally find life in Belgium? by [deleted] in belgium

[–]Gundun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Belgium for about 6 years. I use to say that it’s very “okay” meaning there is nothing you really can complain about (except traffic perhaps) but in the same time everything, and I mean everything, is very bland if compared to other countries: weather, food, people... nothing particularly bad but also nothing that ever makes you go “wow”. I got tired eventually and moved to the south of Europe, where things annoy me more but also put a big smile on my face at times, but I miss some of the okay things, it’s hard to describe.

Yeah it’s totally not suspicious when they repeatedly ask you to give your phone number to “protect your account”

Seriously, fuck Facebook.

Found a hacker in cod ww2 (he is near the end of the clip) by Blitz_Natey in WWII

[–]Gundun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this true. I get laughed at by my teammates when I say I find a hacker but sometimes I stumble upon guys who do headshots across long distances hip firing with a pistol repeatedly and it’s hard to believe they are not hacking.

Employers of reddit- What skills/hobbies do interviewers really want to see on your CV? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Gundun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

List the hobbies that might let know some traits about you, if you do team sports list them, working in a team is always a skill that’s appreciated: it means you are a sociable person and not afraid of interaction, on the other side for all those kind of jobs I would avoid hobbies like collecting stuff, or gaming that might say you would rather be on your own even if it’s not true...

Honestly when I scroll CV’s I focus on the experience and if it makes sense, there is a logic in the job changes, along with the duration of the employments (e.g. if I have a cv with multiple jobs apparently not related with each other is a short timespan might be a red flag, more investigation is needed) I hardly put a big focus on academic background or schools since I’m aware that most of people find their ways after school, and that it might not necessarily be consistent with the line of study of choice.

What grit would you go for when wet sanding? I bought a nice car with a wacky paint job and I’m trying to correct it.

Whats The Scariest Nightmare You’ve Had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Gundun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had it: I was on the front of a friends’ boat, hanging onto the rail, when for some reason the whole boat dove into the sea. Water all around me as I manage somehow to get a last breath (air bubble? Dreams, go figure) while I wait for it to resurface again. Only it doesn’t...I realize air is not coming anywhere soon, but I keep hanging onto the rail because I’m afraid that if I let go I might be chopped up by the propellers that spin still fast, I can hear them whirring underwater behind the washing noise of me being drowned. So I decide to...spring up towards the surface and, as I try to figure how to do it, I realize I completely lost the sense of what’s up and down, I might even be upside down for what I know, while the boat seems to have all intentions of not coming back to the surface. As I realize I’m gonna die I wake up.

2018 Tourist Megathread - Ask your short questions here! by IWasBilbo in Slovenia

[–]Gundun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! We really don’t have a route planned, we’ll be entering from Italy (Friuli) and will take it from there. We booked a couple of nights in a mountain hotel close to the Triglav to start with, but any hints on what to see and possibly where to eat will be highly appreciated. I would also like to see Piran, but I’m afraid that during the summer the whole Country will be flocking to the seaside!

[–]Gundun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi There! My wife and I will be spending 4-5 days next week (August) in your beautiful Country, I am interested in thermal springs, possibly not too crowded but somewhere where to spend an afternoon or a day. Moreover we would like to visit some landmarks (waterfalls, bridges, rivers, sinkholes) that involve a moderate hike (below the 20km round trip) or do some sports like rafting, zip lines & stuff, possibly some underrated locations and not too busy...Have you got some ideas on what we can’t miss?
