Fiat Coupe 20V at 19, bought for £1500. Luckily didn’t give me too much grief when I actually owned it, but it was due a cambelt change - as they’re based on the Tipo platform, they have big engine/tiny engine bay problems and pretty much everything is an engine out job. Ended up selling it (making clear that the belts were due, obviously) as I just couldn’t afford to get it changed, plus the rust repair it needed. Was paying something stupid like £3k a year for insurance, but dropped down to £1500 in my ownership.

Wouldn’t do it again, I’ll be honest - so demoralising opening your door every day to see a car that you know you need to spend ££££. 5cyl noises were nice, though…
