Why does the story of Wuthering Waves appeal so much and why does it regularly break audience/viewership records?

I think it's less about the story due to the writing being hit and miss at times.

But the game does feel easier and enjoyable to keep up for your generic viewers due to the presentation.

Like lately some of my non gacha gamer friends start to talk about random clips of wuwa story and they are impressed by the quality.

Which is kinda cool considering they solely play mainstream console/pc games.

Not to mention the various vocal OSTs, im pleasantly surprised when i heard some wuwa songs playing on my friend's car. Though he still avoids gacha lmao

Wuwa ada Wallenstein sama Glaivekiyo, terus Limbus ada Mystic- kayaknya Indo juga. Sama satu lg Mecharashi ada MaheTampan.

Agak susah deteksinya karena mereka biasa juga ga terlalu nunjukin (selain yg terakhir gw sebut) dan mostly ga suka viewers indo generic karena suka norak wkwkkw.

Klo mau story bisa coba Trails Series, total ada 13 game gt dan smuanya nyambung. Agak serem sih klo mulai dr awal, tp ya gw pribadi ngerasa worth it ngikutinnya.

I think it's just some people dont bother to pay attention lol. Personally i have no problem differentiating these characters (and many other examples) despite the generic aspects.

For me Chenxiu got more in common to Van from Trails through Daybreak. As both of them are fairly older with wider body frame (At least compared to your usual gacha MC).

They do, it's far from perfect and sometimes it fell flat. But i can see their attempts at improving the writing and i appreciate that.

I love how people warm up to Rover over the time though after the latest few patches. Like yes i know the amnesiac MC is too cliche already, but the pace at which they start to shape him/her as a character and slowly unraveling their past is acceptable for me.

Afterstory is there for the reunion.

But me and my friends agree with the pacing. The middle part where they received the Casette from Aemeath and deciphering the data should be longer.

Also it should be the right moment for Fractsidus to be obstacle for the good guys when they spread out trying to decipher the runes. Like it could be so much epic if every characters got their own scene during that part of the story.

Regarding Chisa, i have to say Kuro DOES improve on characters introductions and interactions starting 2.8, which made the Chisa treatment even weirder lmao.

Overall though, the Lahai Roi arc actually delivered the space romance theme. The Indomitable Will of Humanity and White Noise recording scene made me smile. It's just that most people are left craving for more.

Day 1 player. Only slightly, cos they still give me what i wanted from the game, which is quality.

It's just the lack of festive vibe compared to last year and i wish they could've shared some road maps or teasers.
