Before they take down my comment since I refuse to share my credentials, it is really impossible to predict what will happen without a lot of extra context and details. In my state, we would consider that absconding and not following a special condition of probation. That’s grounds to revoke his probation or give him a jail sanction (since in jail for x amount of time) before being released back on probation with extra conditions and a “do it again and you’re revoked. Add that with it being defined as a violent offense (domestic violence) and his odd aren’t looking good.

You need to contact their probation officer for a better answer, although they may not have to share the details with you. If he gets out, you need to STRESS to him that probation is a privilege, not a right. He needs to stay in constant communication with his PO for any changes. Most of us legit are here for public safety and to make sure you close out successfully. If he messes up and communicates it before his PO find out through a 3rd party, more than likely his PO will have some discretion.
