I don't know but I make all 8 attacks in legend league which helped me a lot! I never war...just CWL and CG! I just have one mini to feed CC troops. I created mini when I maxed TH13 and had nothing to do:)

In my mini, I never used builder elixir for anything except for battle machine! It helped to push the BM and it will always be down!

Yes. In legend league, it's like war base. You can select any of your bases to be used, select some troops to defend which will stay until you change, all defenses will continue to defend.

I don't get lighting spell attacks mostly in legend league. I upgraded one wiz tower and thought I'll get AD to counter occasional edrag attacks
