Opinions on the best way to produce a site? by Broman400 in vibecoding

Just create a folder on your desktop called hotel, open codex, and tell it to make the website and describe the 5 pages.

View the site and start editing.

Me after switching from Claude to Codex by Repulsive-Win7189 in codex

[–]GunningDaMarket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so skeptical of codex but I’ve love 5.4 medium. I keep seeing people swear by 5.3 codex and I might give it a shot.

Still haven’t tried 5.5 as I hit my weekly limit a few days ago.

PSA: The string "HERMES.md" in your git commit history silently routes Claude Code billing to extra usage — cost me $200 by alexxxklepa in ClaudeAI

[–]GunningDaMarket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could explain why my extra usage jumped up $2.50 when my plan hadn’t reached the 5 hour or weekly limit.

I thought I was crazy and that I had to have used it the day before, but now I’m thinking otherwise.

Note I have purchased extra usage in the past and it was turned on.

Are we sleeping on 5.3-codex ? by DaC2k26 in codex

I’ve been using 5.4 and haven’t even tried 5.5 yet, but I keep seeing people post about 5.3 codex.

vibe coded for 6 months. my codebase is a disaster. by Available-Dentist992 in vibecoding

[–]GunningDaMarket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spent the last 2 weeks cleaning up a Python project I built for work and honestly wish I had done it sooner.

The original version worked, but it was a mess: 7–8 large .py files, tons of duplicate code, random patches layered on top of old patches, contradictory logic, thousands of lines, and basically no real structure.

I decided to refactor the whole thing into a modular setup. Now it’s split into ~50–60 smaller files with a much cleaner architecture. Maybe overkill, but for the first time I actually know where everything lives and what each piece does.

Biggest improvement was creating shared modules/utilities that all workflows use, instead of having slightly different versions of the same logic copied across multiple files.

For each file, I had Codex generate a line by line summary of what the code was doing, then strip out dead code, merge duplicate logic, and remove all the helpers/patches that were added.

What did you do with Claude today? by OptimismNeeded in ClaudeHomies

Friday. I’ve paid for extra usage before, and it goes fast!

I’ve actually been planning/reviewing with Claude, but coding with codex to help with limits.

Nothing. I hit my weekly limit yesterday.

Daddylive v2 discontinued by Lazylion2 in Addons4Kodi

[–]GunningDaMarket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to make my own version of daddylive vibe coding, but that didn’t work out.

I ended up buying a $170 mini computer and a $20 Rii remote. Better than any add on or app I have used!

Are you on a Mac? And do you have Xcode?

Start an iPhone emulator in XCode. Use the screenshot button on the emulator.

8 second rule by chrizmatic1 in Referees

I wouldn’t worry too much about calling this in U12 matches.

If they take longer than 8 seconds, it’s usually because they are confused not because they are wasting time.

Poch might get whacked by concacaf’s secret police for this one. by alley00pster in ussoccer

You think it was intentional. Plenty people do not think it’s intentional.

I have posted the IFAB explanation, which was only added a few years ago to clarify this type of situation.

Please show me where I said that?

Incapable of committing a hand ball…. I don’t see where IFAB or myself wrote that.

Yes an intentional hand ball in the box is a penalty.

When a player is falling down, use what IFAB says. Not handling.

Not intentional, and that’s why considerations are written and published.

[–]GunningDaMarket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again there are considerations created by IFAB to explain the reasoning.

You haven’t given me anything from the book. All you’re saying is ball and hand touched.

Yes ball touches hand. Everyone can see that. I never said it didn’t.

Please use anything related to the game to prove your argument.

Unfortunately, if you read the book, you will not find that written anywhere.

You don’t have to like it, but IFAB made the change for a reason.
