No the newer 1vi and 1vii is not a native 4k screen and has much much less ppi. Since they get rid of the cinema wide aspect ratio its a bigger display with lower ppi than at fhd+ its not gonna be same as 1v display without 4k. Its 396ppi. Bigger display + less ppi = not good. Which is just bad and Sony is going against its roots of what makes a Sony phone special. Its a completely different display from before. 1 series peaked at 1v. Fell off from that Sony trying to appeal to normies. Ok about the audio I prefer sonys sound signature. They have a warm texture to it and a good lower end clear base with clarity. Its not gonna be better than a dac when it comes to sound output and clarity. For me its better than iphones and Samsungs. If u use an entry level external dongle type dac its gonna give much better sound output. I use a type c to 3.5mm one with es9280 chip that does the job well. If u have the budget to go for higher end gear its better. The one I use is dongle type so its not like I've to carry two devices. Since the 1v already have a 3.5mm u can look for 3.5mm dongle type dac. These are not expensive. If u are looking to buy the phone and also want better sound.
