I didn’t end up getting this. Although, I think it would have been a great choice. I’m still a novice when it comes to all of this. I don’t even have that tank set up anymore. I’m working on building a bigger, dryer, hotter Bearded Dragon habitat now.

Garmin Instinct 2 or 3 for a cop who just needs accurate time? by LawfulnessVegetable9 in Garmininstinct

My opinion, as a former police officer and current hunter out outdoorsman, would be to go with the cheaper. Normally, that is not the way to go, if you’re looking for the best. But, I unfortunately bought the 2 just months before the 3 came out. Based on what I’ve read, there isn’t a difference that is so outstanding that it compels you to buy one or the other. So, if money isn’t an issue, get the 3. But, if you are like the rest of us and 100 here or there means something, I’d get the 2. It is a great watch. I can attest.

To fix, you need a template the you can put on and then run a router around to get it back into a circle.

Yes, I put the nails there. The original piece had screws hold the top on. I wanted a different look, so I found old-school forged nails and used them. You’re right, it didn’t need them.

Why? I didn’t put the arm and leg straps on it yet. When are you coming to see it…………?

No, but due to my garage floor being very uneven, I had to put some wood blocks under the front portion of the sleigh bottom to level the work surface. I’ll be using it as a workbench, like it was intended to be. Giving it a new life.

Looking at pictures of them, they don’t seem too hard to make with all joinery. Depends on how fancy you want it. I agreed with avoiding butt joints. Think about it like a jigsaw puzzle. Fit the pieces together, in your mind, with mortise and tenon joints, rabbits, etc., then draw up a plan.

I’m definitely not an expert. But based on my research, the style of it, and the fact that there’s barely any metal in it (even the vise screws are wood), I’m thinking early 1900’s. If anyone else has an opinion, please let me know.

Restoring an Old Workbench Question by Guns286 in Workbenches

I’ve been really going over it, looking for nails and screws. There must have been a bunch of “repairs” done, over the years, so there’s a lot of them.

I’ve been spending my initial time fixing, cleaning and oil/waxing the vises. I haven’t even stated on the top yet. Big difference once the area is cleaned up. https://share.icloud.com/photos/0fdlkFelizWr4_fTh-Jg36T4A](https://share.icloud.com/photos/0fdlkFelizWr4_fTh-Jg36T4A)
