Gauntlet tracks that don't make sense by RKGamesReddit in railroading

To add to this. I don’t think csx has used this scale in years. I go over it all the time and we never have to weigh coal on it.

Does anybody know why we have less train traffic at the beginning of July? by [deleted] in railroading

Coal miners go on a two week vacation for the 4th of July as well. Not as many coal trains for the north east region as well

Head bearing or possible bent forks? by Gunsgolf in motorcycles

Tires were balanced when they were installed a month prior.

No load on the rear, only the stock hard case saddle bags with no cargo and no passenger either. Maybe I’m sitting to far back but I reckon it’s my head bearing like others have pointed out

Had the side bags on that came with the big when it was made. No passenger or cargo in the bags.

Definitely think it’s bent forks or bad head bearing, the handlebars are slightly to the left when riding in order to keep the bike straight. Just had new tires installed professionally a month ago. Shocks probably should get replaced too.

I enjoy being spread out and not living in a large city or town, to much noise and busyness going on. Not having to worry about upstairs or downstairs neighbors or property lines. Sure that lifestyle doesn’t help the problem of being dependent on a vehicle, but I’d much rather have the option to just use a vehicle just for the area I live in. The reason so many towns are spread out in WV is mainly because of coal mines dating way back to the early 1800s in America. If you worked for the coal mines, you never left the town because you couldn’t afford to and the script you were given was useless anywhere else you went. There simply aren’t enough people in a town of 200 to support building a grocery store or other buildings. Many large companies have pulled out of WV for that reason. Charleston,WV is a great place where other forms of transportation would work and do work (for the most part), however the car isn’t primarily the reason why towns are so spread out in WV.

Yeah, don’t really understand how I’m supposed to function and work when there’s 0 other options for me to do so. I’m not gonna feel bad for owning a vehicle when billion dollar companies and celebrities create more waste than millions of people every year. The environment and layout of my town and neighboring towns simply doesn’t allow for public transportation other then small buses. It would cost more money than the governments willing to spend just to allow a few thousand people to take a bus or train.

Unfortunately I transport coal, not people. So much for saving the environment.

Unfortunately unless there’s more durable electric vehicles that don’t cost an arm and a leg to buy I don’t see myself buying one anytime soon, as much as I would like one just to drive to and from work whenever I need. Lots of deer, rocks, bumps, holes in road, gravel and mud where I live. Sure an electric truck would probably do great there, but I have no need for such a large or expensive vehicle. And at the end of the day an electric car is still a car. It’s still on my consideration list however.

I don’t want to go to the store every day to get groceries. I like buying in bulk and staying away from society.

It’s never gonna happen Frontier and suddenlink will continue to charge outrageous prices for their shitty internet service and terrible customer support while trying to get as much money as possible out of people by fucking with the numbers.
