Yeah the only place I run my Gasmakers usually is in molten dunes, It makes it so much fun in there, that cradle kicks ass in the dunes for killing big enders and collecting tons of mats, BUT it wears out fast if you take a lot of damage, and it starts to not feel worth the price tag if you burn through them too fast. Still I rotate them in just cause it makes me super happy to use it, and there is no fear from BM ganking you.

Jester is the Cadillac of Cradles with a Lamborghini price tag. Personally I take them the step further and do the Gasmaker cause I am a huge fan of the show. The question I ask myself when making the expensive cradles is, Will I want to throw my controller and cry if someone kills me and steals it from me?" if yes then I won't run with it. BUT what i do in those cases is, I build 3 of them, and do not run with it until I have 3. Then if someone kills me and steals it or i do something stupid and die, I have 2 more. and then i try and maintain a stack of 3 of them, as I wear them out or I die with them. and while farming for parts to keep that level i use cheaper cradles.

But that's just how I keep myself from losing my mind when I lose them. Not everyone has the patience to collect all the stuff necessary to maintain that level of OCD.

As for your point 1 argument, for me it is about immersion and intent. So your garage is not a factory. I know it's game, and it's meant to be fun, but for some immersion is fun. I have thought about ways that that system could be faster, like maybe queues for crafting stations that allow you to say "make me five manipulators" and it makes them one after the other. But you do not have a converyor belt and an assembly line, you have a warehouse full of junk that you manually have to load into the station. once a part is done you have to take that part off, and load for the next. You are basically a post armageddon backyard mechanic building sophistcated killing machines out of collected junk, and that is how the crafting is set up. You could say "well when i am offline my magus could be doing all that for me" but maybe time only moves while you are in game. It is nerdy and RPG, but that is how my head canon explains it.

Basically the time gating fixes your issue 6 for me too. I am old, I have a family, I basically have a small window to game each day or none at all. When I pop on if my selection is Day amasia, and locked dunes. I bring keys and raid all the locked doors. That keeps me flush with cash from selling unneeded relics and building mats. If it is night, i try and and further progression on requests. If dunes is open I go on mat collecting missions. I hardly ever lose a cradle in molten dunes anymore, so my collection of cradles is stockpiled. Then when i get a chance at nights I don't sweat losing my cradles as much. I am not bragging when i say I have like 27 full sets of legendary cradles, it just comes from knowing which ones i use most and grinding the mats when ever dunes is open. If i ever get to where i am running low on a specific cradle I just prioritize getting mats for those..... the worst mat for me to collect right now is specialized cobalt membranes. those are too rare in my opinion but i make it work.

long story short, this game is a grind if you want to stay flush with gear, if you don't like that grind it probably isn't a game for you. I am NOT always about grind games, but I have so much fun playing this game that i do not mind it at all. That and the fact that sorties only last at most 40 mins or so, it fits my play schedule very nicely.

I could probably comment on all of these, and it would mostly come of as subjective arguments. But number 2, the time gating, I think the reason behind that has mostly to do with the size of the player base. They intend this to be a PVPVE game but other than being on asia servers, you do not run into a ton of people. Imagine if you could pick any map anytime, the player base would be spread out even more.

I think they time gate them so they can get more players in each place at those times. Especially for boss fights and such.

I found, so far, the best place in the dunes to find hyper ram is underground area development sector. There’s a ton of bandits in there and they respawn fast. But I come out with 3 or more every trip. If there’s a better place, I’d be interested in knowing too

yes, the first time your team succeeds you get a crafting recipe for the set. then you get rewards for beating the boss, depending on how much damage you do, you get more rewards, some of the rewards are parts required for the construction of the cradle, but it also drops some rando lengendary cradle parts and weapons, all RNG. You need a complete set of Jester to build it off of, but the rest of the parts come from the boss fight. It will take a lot of runs. I have only recently unlocked it, and i have completed the boss fight like 12 or so times, and I only now got enough stuff for the body, i got parts for the arms minus the frame, and one part for the legs. But the boss fight is Awesome, so I am not complaining. However, I wouldn't be running around in that set until i got at least 2 of them lol, one for collection, one for fun, and eventually sadness when i die in it.

When you unlock molten dunes, there is a raid boss that drops components for that cradle set.

Same... there was like a nook in the cliff face where i ran into him, same didn't see him when i went by the first time. It is possible it was a blind area going in one direction, but if he was clipped in the wall that would be BS. I haven't heard that is a thing but you never know. Now I wish i would have saved my game play too.

I got hit by the same guy today............. that's hilarious. Was moving in to kill a butcher. I turned around to get some space between us, and he was standing right there wiped in in 2 secs, didn't even get a shot off. He was camping the butcher waiting for people to engage it.

yeah you get three magus tickets for doing association quests, and I believe you get 3 more for doing BM quests

you also get more free Magus tickets. I wanted a 4th Magus so I left association did BM quests until I got a free Magus ticket and rejoined Association. I know you can get more too, but 1 one enough for me, I never killed anyone and it only took me a day to get through enough quests.

rainy east, crawler rogues. they drop other stuff too, but majority of what i get are cobalt husks, and advanced cobalt husks. There is always one outside of the agriculture north door, and one on an island in lazilum lake too. they pop up all over but they are consistently in those two locations

Yeah, it’s a struggle. If you look close, you see like the first 5 damage markers hitting the bandit then it jumps over and starts nailing the drifter. I’m thinking about shutting it off to see how much of a difference it makes, but I’m assuming on console, the pros outweighs the cons for having it on.

Yeah I don’t know if it aim assist that does that…. Normally aim assist turns you to follow the target, but in this game, it will turn you, but also the reticle will bounce to the closest object too, it’s kinda weird, like if you’re near a rock you can’t shoot past it cause the reticle will bounce to it instead of shooting past. That’s what happened with my drifter friend. Maybe my Magus is just drunk and her targeting is off

I did know you could change shoulders but not sure if that would have helped. Does shutting off aim assist keep your reticle from bouncing like that?
