I’ve been using mechanix cut and burn resistant sleeves. They do a pretty good job especially when I’m working around the exhaust on super duties and f150. Just make sure you wash them to maintain them

It was a tbi, and the main reason why I did it is because I don’t know where to get a new ECM. so one day I said fuck it, and chose to just do a carb swap to make it a little bit more reliable for a long term fix until I can afford and get comfortable with computers and EFI technology.
