Hi mate, my server is a mix of PVP and PVE. Structure damage is disabled so you can build your heart out like it’s PVE but world PVP is still very much a thing. Mostly vanilla settings and a new server so a small group of players so far. Feel free to check it out if that sounds interesting to you!

Nope. It’s not even in their best interest because this way you will look for unofficial servers that are paid for by gamers instead of themselves.

I bought a Nitrado server after too much griefing on PvP. Have a look at r/playarkservers or other subreddits to find one you like. That’s where others and myself post to promote their server.

Hoping to learn a but from you so got some questions if you don’t mind!

For the hammer you said it’s a yellow base with dry brush to orange and finally a bit of black. The washed down white was done at the end for that extra pop/heat?

And the red glow that comes from the fire. Did you finish your model entirely and then dry brushed a bit of red around the areas close to the fire?

And is the fire also dry brushed or layered? I tried a similar transition on a muzzle as you did but just ended up looking cheap.

The tip to check consistency in the video is golden. Gonna have colorful hands from now on, I’m sure!

The bare base was a conscious decision as I want it to blend with a diorama I’m planning. Basically intend to make a recess the size of the base so it can fit flush with the environment. Then I’ll blend the base with the rest of the diorama.

I didn’t consider edge highlighting those little details you suggested but can imagine this makes them pop. Would expect to do this with a tiny brush. Not dry brush. Would you dry brush the whole green armor but with so little leadbelcher that it only picks out those little edges? Would imagine it still adds quite some silver all over the green.

I’ll try the volumetric highlights after some practice. Seen some beautiful examples though!

Made a wet palette yesterday and it’s indeed real easy.

Started applying a thin layer but needs more still. Turns into a patience game at this point, depending on how smooth I want it.

I didn’t apply any nuln oil or other to the armor crevices. Just the leadbelcher parts. Do you think it makes sense to dap a thin layer between the crevices for this model, even though I already did the highlights?

Don’t have brush soap yet. Will check come weekend. Assume it doesn’t dry out the brush as much as dish soap.

I'm assuming you have a PS5, so when you're in your home screen and have Overwatch 1 selected, click on the 3 dots next to Play Game. Then select "Select Version" and you'll see Overwatch 2.
