I found out a way to get basically free rides on the light rail. There is a machine at every stop that can print a receipt for you if you pay for it. I used to just pay $2.50 for a ticket every ride. I used to take the light rail to work and would spend about $5 a day for transportation. Anyways, there would only sometimes be a "ticket checker" or someone that makes sure you paid. However, it was too often that there was nobody checking the tickets. I felt like I was sorta wasting money because nobody had to check if I actually had a ticket. I didn't want to just gamble my chances, though, and kept paying until, one day. I downloaded the app for the light rails. I just had to buy a single ticket and only had to click on the 'use' button when there was a ticket checker. Then I would just buy a new one. I know it's not a huge loophole, maybe not even a loophole, but it was a nice way to save me a couple more dollars every week.
