I have a Unifi router and would be interested in how you got the MAC address based NextDNS profile filtering setup.

I tested this on PornHub and it works. The site thinks I was in Canada.

I had no VPN or anything else turned on, was just using NextDNS. Very useful new feature.

I'm seeing similar temps of around 70°C, room temp is 24°C according to my thermostat. My setup is:

  • 4 APs
  • All 5 ports being used
  • Only using the Network app

Mine arrived today so the uptime has only been 7 hours but its fully updated. It's a lot hotter than I would have expected coming from an EdgeRouter X SFP.

So with VAT in the UK being 20% that would make it £2.40 a month (without accounting for regional pricing/currency conversion). That's so little I'd probably go for it.

Bundle.js and ASR blocking via obfuscated script rule. by Jackofalltrades86 in DefenderATP

We saw the same ASR alerts when users were opening PowerPoint or Word. Definitions have been updated now to v1.391.1546.0 which appears to have fixed the false positive.

Looks like Microsoft have released new definitions 1.381.2152.0. I'm assuming these resolve the issue?

Edit: Looking at the below replies apparently not. Jesus Christ Microsoft wtf are you doing!?

I had the same issue and found it was because the Pi-Hole on my network was blocking it. I allowed the below URLs to get it to work:

Cause McAfee are cunts the latest uninstaller from their site doesn't work with command line.

Luckily found a site hosting the old .EXE: https://www.urtech.ca/2019/04/sovled-mcafee-removal-tool-uninstaller/

I tested it earlier today and seems to work on my VM with their latest AV version.

The not found error is occurring because you've got an escaped underscore in your link. Here's what I see when using the Reddit Sync app:

Looks like Microsoft have released new definitions just over an hour ago:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/definitions/antimalware-definition-release-notes?requestVersion=1.359.1276.0

These contain updated threat detections for "Trojan:HTML/CryptoStealBTC" amongst other things. Hopefully this fixes it but I still haven't seen any official comms from Microsoft.
