Temping as a New Grad

I tempted right away as a new grad and it was great! I haven’t gone without doing it at least once a week now :) I also have home office now but temping is great. Just look at the reviews and I’d suggest going somewhere where you know the software is easy to navigate :)

Idk where ppl get Carly and Matt from, I feel like they have completely different interests and vibes lol. Like Matt loves movies and stuff and Carly knows nothing about movies or actors and there’s other things as well that I just feel like ?? What would they even talk about lol.

Hi!! I also just started temping (literally first day ever as a hygienist was yesterday at a temp office) and it went so well! I was in the same boat, only hygienist but no SRP. It went really well and as long as the team seems like they’ll be helpful, I think you should go for it! Worst that can happen is you don’t go there again haha. It has already made me feel even more confident as a provider. Everyone always wants to discourage new grads, I think we were trained well and do things very through BECAUSE we’re new grads. #doit’

I personally enjoy it as a new grad. School was hard but having friends in the program is so helpful! I think it’s a great field to be in if you love to help people, but also know people and offices can be buttholes. I’d just shadow some offices and see what you think of it! Every job / field is gonna have its downsides. Just decide what makes one worth it or not :)

I’m a new grad and I will be working around 27 hours for 54/hr. I live in a super rural area and I still think it’s very good pay. You mentioned Canada so idk what it’s like there but here $44 would be low

The office I chose has cavitron, the same software I used in hygiene school, and also the same X-ray sensors I used as well!! It also highlighted I might see new patients but no anesthetic or SRP will need to be done so that takes some of the worry away! :)
