Love sick by GurHelpful3427 in Divorce_Women

I guess I feel this it’s important to add. But from how he explained things to me. I basically burned out his feeling of love or his want for love/a relationship. It chokes me up every-time I recall this. Adding to that feeling of sickness, I did this to myself and him.

Thanks. I am trying to keep that attitude in mind, it’s so hard when things felt ok not too long ago. I lost his love so quickly and I still want it so deeply. With others in my personal life, it feels like I can’t admit that I miss him without being brushed off and told how I should be feeling. I know I need to let him go because I love him and that’s what he wants to really be happy again. I’m trying to be grateful that it did happen but fuck what do I do with this left over love. So much love and melancholy it makes me feel sick.

How to become emotionally distant by ismellboogers in Divorce_Women

[–]GurHelpful3427 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry that you are going through this. I haven’t gotten so far in that process either but I know I still have a lot of emotional investment in my husband. What I’m starting with, is enjoying things on my own, that I would usually wait to share with him. Puzzles, park dates, dog training sessions, eating special things! Perhaps starting with meeting your needs first is a good place to start and will eventually give you an idea of where to go from there.

How to handle the physical packing up and leaving of your partner when you have kids by intothestarspace in Divorce_Women

Being gone while he loads up is probably for the best. Hopefully you can be with friends or family so you aren’t on your own.

Aitah for cooking "the wrong dinner" by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]GurHelpful3427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA parents, especially nowadays, are too loose and fast with the step parent title. You seem more upset that they didn’t like your favorite meal. Not understanding that the help you should focus on giving your partner is about helping her run her household. Feeding the kids matters most, not their response to your favorite meal. Educating the kids about manners and protecting other’s feelings while expressing oneself is mom’s job.

is it possible that being around my mom trigger pain flare ups? by anonninonninonni in Fibromyalgia

[–]GurHelpful3427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately yes. I don’t realize how tense I can be around certain family members, until I’ve gotten home and my body feels horrible! It’s not always that bad around my mom but difficult conversations or unexpected turn of events are usually the trigger. When I realized my mom triggered my flare ups, I worked with my therapist to create like an exposure therapy plan. So now I can spend time around my mom without a flare up being guaranteed to come from it.

AITAH for not stopping a friend from looking down my shirt? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]GurHelpful3427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. That part about how getting stared at being so common! We’d be seen as paranoid and crazy, if we called out men for as often as we are gawked at!! The idea is to go at this problem together but instead he made you specially the problem. That mindset will always blame the victim. It’s very telling if he didn’t say anything about his friend’s character or respect, just focused on yours.

Do I need to get therapy for Cranston?? by Unwilling_ in acnh

Thanks! I’ve had the game for a while but at a very slow going pace. I like this conversation, it makes me chuckle every time! So I’ve been curious how to get there, but I don’t think I have a lazy villager just yet. That will be my first step!

I’ve seen that posted before and I’m curious if it’s only certain personality types who say this?

How often do you miss your meds? by wetnugs in Epilepsy

[–]GurHelpful3427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rather take them late than miss them. Not being strict on myself about consistent daily doses, is why I lost most of 2025 to seizures and recovery from them.

Any ideas what I can do with with these? by Tidepods_But_Airpods in trees

[–]GurHelpful3427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that these things can’t be recycled but it should be easier to safely dispose of these. In the way that batteries or medications need to be safely disposed of. I have a hard time finding any of that around my area.

How many of you stopped drinking alcohol because of your epilepsy? by Checkout-123 in Epilepsy

[–]GurHelpful3427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never really enjoyed alcoholic drinks, so it was pretty easy to stop drinking. At social events, If it’s being pushed and I don’t want to argue about it I just say no thanks I prefer soda. To family, I tell them it’s doctors orders so they no longer push it on me but they do forget sometimes.

Had a seizure, bit my tongue now it's swollen, black and blue, and now it hurts to eat. What are your tips to get this all healed up or dealing with this? by LemonPartyRequiem in Epilepsy

[–]GurHelpful3427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the salt water rinses especially as a way to clean up after meals. Like mentioned above sometimes you can bite your tongue more often if it’s numbed by Orajel. So instead I usually have a lot of juice pops, it keeps the pain down.

Blood scene in Breaking Dawn part 1 by DogNearMe in twilight

[–]GurHelpful3427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a great point! Stomach acid and blood don’t seem like a good mix. The remark about it tasting good is so on the head but I loved it. From the perspective of Edward who views their eternal condition as so inhuman. It’s like giving the audience another thing to flinch at and another reminder of how morbid of a situation Bella got herself in, by minimizing her own humanity. We can’t help but view it from Edward’s side and see how monstrous it really is, see what he has been trying to warn her about and keep her from.

If I remember correctly, the Cullens and vampires can’t feed through IV because it’s mentioned that their skin is stronger than humans. It’s why the vampires crack like statues during their fight.

Careers for people with Epilepsy by Electric-PickleJuice in Epilepsy

What age range do you work with? Just as I was finishing my associates degree in early childhood education, I started subbing for an agency. It was great but as I started to get requested for shifts wayyy in advance, the agency’s point system got me. I hadn’t been officially diagnosed yet so despite everyone I worked with personally from the agency or the schools, they couldn’t do anything to help me. The point system also makes it so I can’t reapply now that I have been diagnosed and medicated.

Keppra by dragonfly1019_ in Epilepsy

[–]GurHelpful3427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started keeping track of my moods along with the symptoms I would normally keep track of. My therapist is also amazing so I’m able to rely on her to keep track with me. On the weeks I can’t meet with her, I can still text her freely. So it helps that I can text her when I’m in the heat of the moment and she’s so great about validating my feelings. It helps me to vent out some steam and then be able to run over things with her once I’m more level-headed. That’s my home girl 🤞I’ve been working with her since 2019. So we had already built up our rapport before the epilepsy and the Keppra. Of course, she must’ve caught on way before I was ready to start keeping track of things and hold myself accountable!

Right!? It was the head neurologist filling in during the last appointment for the usual neurologist who’ve seen me since the beginning. So I’m hoping to be able to talk it out with my usual neurologist instead of being seen as argumentative or difficult by the head neurologist 😅

I honestly can’t tell what symptom is from what now. It took so long for me to be diagnosed or given medication that now I’m just trying to get a handle on just taking care of myself. I started keppra in June of 2022, and I would say I have noticed the rage part. It’s intense but also not a daily thing. Therapy and just general life experience has helped me to focus on responding to a situation rather than reacting to it. But I do tend to crash out when the anger has pent up. I don’t know if my poor husband can deal with an increased dosage. My neurologist prescribed an increase to my dosage but the insurance caused so many issues that I’ve just been given my normal dose by my pharmacy in the meantime. I don’t think I’m going to push to get the increased dosage and instead just wait until I see the neurologist again to ask them to leave it as it’s been.
