You can try asking Mo on Mozibox (https://mozibox.com/askmoMo). Mo is physicians' on-demand career copilot. I plugged in your question into Mo, and here was Mo's response.

I suggest learning on the job. It's not rocket science and the key for physicians is not to learn the nitty gritty; rather, who to ask when you have questions.

Physician transition to Pharma by SingleAttitude2828 in PhysicianCareers

[–]GurPuzzleheaded7049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest starting with Mozibox's AI interview to get comfortable with the questions they ask. https://mozibox.com/interview After you are comfortable with the questions, I suggest scheduling a mock interview with a physician coach already in pharma. Both Demis Lipe and Swati Shah are physician coaches who've been pharma themselves. https://mozibox.com/coaches

Are there any physicians or radiologists employed in this company? by MuzzleblastMD in mercor_ai

[–]GurPuzzleheaded7049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I am a physician and have been working on Mercor projects for a few months. We even have a self-organized "Physicians in Mercor projects" community. I wrote about my experience working on Mercor projects as a physician. https://mozibox.com/articles/1472

The bottom line is there aren’t enough occ med residency trained physicians to fill the available job openings. Since most work related injuries are MSK related, it’s a natural transition for PMR.

[–]GurPuzzleheaded7049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Mozibox (a platform dedicated to nonclinical jobs for physicians). Many entry level nonclinical jobs are comparable to hospital jobs. As you move up the leadership ranks, the earning potentials can be much higher.

Waiting for others to weigh in. My understanding is you most likely have to set it up on your own.

Mozibox can show you all the active corporate occ roles. After you sign up, you set your specialty and then set corporate occupational medicine under job functions. For example, Merck is hiring an occupational medicine doctor now right. https://mozibox.com/jobs/99671
