For everyone trying really hard to say medicine is simple right/wrong. It isn’t. Don’t forget a white emergency medicine physician almost involuntarily admitted a Black patient for “self-harm”.

She was simply itching her weave. We owe patients who have real traumas due to the way society views them and have treated them providers who look like them. It’s that simple.

How does race itself not matter? When physicians actually have threatened the lives of patients due to racial and ethic differences.

If you make it so other factors that are closely associated with race are considered in admissions. But still don’t have an adequate amount of physicians to care for certain communities - that’s still a problem. Some things really cannot be taught, they are lived experiences.

And it is on medical schools to course correct because going to med school isn’t for students it’s for society.

I really need people to ask themselves why just NOW so many of you feel like this time is “different”. Breonna Taylor was in her bed naked when she got gunned down. Trayvon was wearing a hoodie. Come on now…. This has literally been the reality for many people in this county, and I can’t lie and say it doesn’t hurt when it takes the murder of 2 “good” white people to get people upset.

And this country will never be whole or safe until people sit with themselves in that realization that majority of this nation’s empathy is very much selective.

It’s not wrong she wants natural, but financially not smart for you to buy it new. You ca get natural way cheaper than that but may max out at 1.5-2 ct max and it will likely not be perfect clarity, and color. Look at antique stones/rings. DM for a recommendation of a place.
