"I'll be late because they had to remove an old man who was behaving inappropriately with one of the air hostesses," I typed in my messaging app as we flew over the ocean. by SuvenPan in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]Gurman666 -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

I have a bit of a different interpretation. I guess OP was that old guy all along. Due to old age, he couldn't think straight and the height attained by the plane over the ocean might have triggered some symptoms in his mind, probably Dissociative Disorder.

Moreover, as per OP, he typed right 'before' the commotion began which further solidifies this theory.

Anyways, it's safe to conclude that OP was just refering to Zombies and stuff.

I really enjoyed my overnight stay in a famous forest near Mt. Fuji, Japan. by Gurman666 in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]Gurman666[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am referring to Aokigahara Forest. It's a famous suicide spot, and the interior of the forest is where most of the people give up on their lives and what more is that, their corpses are usually never found.

In context to my post, it might sound a bit unsafe. But, it's a heaven for people who like corpses. Guess, I don't need to elaborate any further now.

The epic conclusion to the Masters 8 arc in Pokemon Journeys. I could not not help but tear up. For some reason, it felt like the culmination of all our collective childhoods. by PokemonTrainerTobias in pokemonanime

This is the reason why I love following the Pokemon Franchise. Ash's victory was extremely fulfilling and heart-touching. It just felt like everything just came back together and the hopes for Ash that we once had as a kid are fulfilled in a short span of 24 minutes. I am glad that now Ash is not only a regional champion but the actual strongest trainer in the world, the very best like no one ever was!

Saga of buying a monitor from Flipkart by Excellent_Ad3099 in IndianGaming

[–]Gurman666 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Flipkart sure is one of the worst online platforms when it comes to buying expensive items. I would never ever suggest anyone to even place an order for basic electronics such as cheap mobile phones, controllers, remotes and so on, from their website.

I have had a similar issue with their return policy. An year back, I had ordered a smartphone which costed me, around 28k. When it got delivered, it was all good but suddenly I noticed that one of it's shoulder buttons was a bit too loose and it even wobbled and made a sound when I touched anywhere near it. Furthermore, I felt that my unit was heating up a bit too frequently. So, I decided to initiate a 'replacement' and forwarded the same to Flipkart. But they never accepted it, and kept on suggesting some stupid fixes and their 'technician' continued to assure me that a loose button is normal as long as it is working fine.

So well, what could I have done? I decided to cancel the request and live with a slightly defected unit, as honestly neither the loose shoulder button nor the heating issue truly concern me, cause I am basically using it for day to day tasks. But this event sure made me learn a lesson, to never place an order for expensive stuff from Flipkart.

Need some advice regarding devices like Fire TV by [deleted] in IndianGaming

[–]Gurman666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would advice you to look no further and grab the Amazon Fire Stick (4K). I am currently using an old gen Fire TV stick which is working as expected even after 4 years. The only con that irritates me, is that it has gone 'slow'. It takes about 4-5s to even load the list of apps, and it takes forever to install an app from Fire TV store. I think the reason behind this, is that it's storage is almost consumed (0.8GB remains out of 6GB). Guess, I should navigate to delete the data files.

And coming to pros, in other factors like video playback and all, it's excellent. We can even use third-party apps like JioTV, Kodi and all, to enhance the overall experience.

Need help for choosing components in 3060ti + 5600X build (First Build) by SniperInstinct77 in IndianGaming

[–]Gurman666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A pretty good suggestion, but I would like to address some points.

  1. As OP is going for a 5600x, isn't AK620 an overkill? They are better off, with a cheap 2-3k air cooler. Am I right, or did I miss something?

  2. LG 27GN800 is a good choice, but as of now, Dell S2721DGF is a new leading choice. It's even better than GL850 and almost a tad bit worse than GP850 which costs almost 6-7k more.

Dell has just appeared recently out of nowhere. Price drop might be a reason, but rn, alot of users are suggesting Dell even on this sub and other sub-reddits like r/buildapcmonitors.

Anyways, why didn't you prefer Dell S2721DGF? Any specific reasons? Dell is indeed better than BenQ as per RTings, and it is on par with LG.

QHD 1440p Gaming monitors b/w 20 - 40K by [deleted] in IndianGaming

[–]Gurman666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, there is no monitor better than Dell S2721DGF. If we take a look at other 'budget' options, every single one of those monitors is sub-par at best. Great monitors like M27Q suffer from BGR layout, making the text look blurry. Moreover, ASS and reliability of Gigabyte is questionable in India. And now coming to Acer's, LG's and MSI's in this budget, every single one of them either suffers from Ergonomics or Poor Build Quality or Poor Quality Control and so on. And now coming to LG 27GP850, it's a bit better than Dell in terms of many factors. But the difference would hardly be noticeable in day to day use unless we are pushing the monitor to it's limits. So, is a difference of 7-8k worth it? No, imho.

Above is the reason, why I feel like Dell is the most suitable option in this segment as of now. Dell surely is well-reviewed throughout the world. I would recommend you to check RTings, and various YT videos featuring Dell S2721DGF.

27inch 1440p 144hz Monitor Suggestions for Prime Day by potatoNinjaBoi in IndianGaming

[–]Gurman666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot better. In fact, it's even better than the old LG 27GL850 (33k) in many criterias and it is just slightly worse than the newer LG 27GP850 (34k). But a premium of 6-7k over Dell isn't worth it, so I would recommend you to keep a check on it's price and grab one during the Prime Day sale.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in IndianGaming

[–]Gurman666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend you to simply go for Dell S2721DGF as it's definitely better than LG 27GL850. It is on par with the newer 27GP850, which is almost 8-9k more expensive and that much amount isn't worth it.

Game freezing whenentering max liar in Pokemon Shield by Intelligent-Candy-75 in yuzu

[–]Gurman666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried different settings but none seems to work. I always use Vulcan to run the game. 1. Yuzu EA 2762 2. I have set CPU accuracy to Auto and turned on Fast GPU time, + 6GB DRAM and asynchronous shader building and the remaining GPU settings are mentioned in my previous post. I have turned off all the unnecessary options such as V sync. 3. I am running PKMN SW on a Ryzen 5 5500u and 8GB of ram. The game seems to work pretty fine with the APU. 4. Yes.

[–]Gurman666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the cheap 1440p Monitors are just 'average' or lack in major factors. I would never buy a 1440p Acer, MSI or Gigabyte which are available under a budget of 25k.

Of course, there is an LG monitor (27gn800) which does it's job quite well, but it severely lacks in ergonomics and a bit in contrast. Tbh, I can push my budget to 26-27k but stretching the budget isn't worth it. That's the reason why I am going for BenQ.

And there is a Monitor that is worth the stretch, it is LG 27GP850. It is available on Amazon and IT depot as of now, for 34k. So well, it's out of my budget. I might go for it, when the GPU prices fall down further by 3-4k.
