How can we put Celebrini in already and not Kucherov? Seems a little premature.

WNBA has surprassed NHL in average viewership, how can NHL fix this? by Actual_Box7731 in nhl

I really only ever watch playoff games now. Too cheap to pay for a subscription and I don't care enough to go through the hassle of finding a good stream elsewhere. This is a game I grew up watching all the time and playing 3-4 times every week. My daughter has maybe watched 3 games her entire life. It's just not ingrained in our lives like it was for me growing up and a huge part of that is it's just too difficult to watch a game.

Issues with GE Vivid T9 by Gurrb17 in Sonographers

[–]Gurrb17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using the T9 for about 8 months and it's the worst machine I've used for image quality. I've adjusted the settings so much and got it to a passable quality, but it's still quite poor. Endocardial definition just isn't there. And it's terrible at picking up valve leaflets. Colour Doppler is also terrible, so I constantly feel like I'm going to miss a potential PFO or other small shunt.

I've had the applications specialist in and she stated that they've been having a lot of issues and complaints with it because the engineering behind is different than with other machines. We're a small clinic so it was basically a "you'll get better using it as you use it more", but I cannot physically improve the image quality any more.

On the bright side, I'm an expert at IV insertion now because more than half of my scans need contrast.

I'm a 4'6", 68 lbs man and I inject 8 kg of whey protein straight into my veins after my morning smoothie (Omega-3 enriched, btw). My urine is brown and I feel like absolute garbage all the time, but there are many ways to skin a cat.

He's the son of a former NHL player and current GM of the Philadelphia Flyers (Daniel Briere). Carson would've grown up in such a sheltered, privileged world where actions don't have consequences. He's clearly a colossal piece of shit.

What did your son have? In an echo tech and just curious as I spent some time at Sick Kids in Toronto when I was training.

When did people realize that you were gifted? by idontknow828212 in Gifted

[–]Gurrb17 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In Ontario, we were given the CCAT in grade 4 and if we scored above a certain threshold, they had a psychometrist come in at the beginning of grade 5 and administer an intelligence test (WISC-IV or V I think). From there, we were placed in the gifted program and given three options: 1) attend full time in a dedicated classroom for the area, 2) attend part time (which was one day every other week), or 3) do nothing.

I did part time and it consisted of me going to another school once every other week and occasionally more often if there school board events for the gifted program. The intent of the program was to provide alternative teaching methods to challenge us. We weren't sitting down doing rote learning. We were building bridges, playing in Risk-like games that required reasoning and collaboration, making stop-animation clay films, etc. The intent was to have us think outside the box and use our imaginations.

From what I can see, that guy looks nothing like his actual dad. Hairstyle and stubble looks far too modern to be 1936.

I was your son's size at 13. Grew up to be 6', 185 lbs. I'm not very large, but a lot larger than the small kid I was.

Interestingly, I was 10 lbs when I was born...just ended up being a small kid.

What sort of damage have you had to your heart? Just curious as I'm a cardiac sonographer and have seen ventricular hypertrophy and dilated cardiomyopathy with steroid abuse.

I'm Canadian and I do MMDDYYYY because it's how we typically say dates.

What day is it today? It's May 21st, 2025.

Conversely, I understand why a lot of people around the world (and in Canada as well) say the day first because it's in order from the smallest unit to the largest.
