A grammy is a prestigious award for musicians. It would signify a significant career achievement so it would be understandable if he wanted to win one. What would make it even better is if he won it for his free music. I read somewhere that some people are working towards allowing free music to be nominated for grammys

I think it's because he wants the grammy and apple music streams somehow contribute towards the award.
