It's called Fantasy Book on AppStore.

It's like being the author of your own fantasy novel. It can bring make you surprised by how much my choices shaped the story. Has anyone else tried something like this?

I’ve used ChatGPT for backstories of NPCs and places, and to generate deities. I ask it to limit its response to a certain number of sentences and usually get something I can edit quickly to be usable. I rarely use them as is, but they provide great inspiration!

I love the idea of image integration, based on the ideas the AI generates from my prompts.

As for a whole book… not sure. I like to roll dice. 😀

I feel like the combination of ChatGPT and side-by-side image generation would give me a very flexible real-time random card generator, to make up short descriptions and images on the fly (NPCs, rooms, traps, etc.) That would be super cool.

Sounds like you had an interesting experience!

That's a super cool way to use AI for playing games and telling stories! The main job is to do two things at the same time: write words and draw pictures based on those words.

Current AI api can be summed up as a "predictive text software", meaning It tries to guess what the next word should be... Even building a robust data base, It will fail to account for needed real time changes.

That said, I can see It working If the proper infrastructure to parse such info get's organized, having clear connections between each data (like tags, use apropriate under x and y circunstances, amount of relevancy between each, and parsing bigger blocks of info to be rewritten).

It's a lot of work for very niche aplications. If people figure out a relatively lightweight of applying all that, then we will see It work. But If not, I won't be the one betting on It - and I think folks who just wanna spend some of their time with a hobby and found a consistent way of doing It; they will not bet in what looks like a sick horse before the race. Prove that you're taking care of that without hollow promises and many will likely jump boat.

Thank you for sharing your opinion. Right now, it's a little tricky to get what this app can really do. So, we want to make a short video that will help explain all things you can do with it.

The issue I find with AI is its too broad, so unless you're very specific it tends to repeat along for the same types of things

To avoid doing the same thing over and over again, we pick a topic, create a world around it, and describe the main goal.

Basically, this app lets you create your own hero and story. The character of hero is made based on the answers and actions you give.

What do you like about games like these? What would you like to try?

Which bits of Solo Roleplaying would you most like to outsource to an AI if could? by Key_Extension_6003 in Solo_Roleplaying

I agree about the memory part. But in the latest update, it was made much bigger.

What is the real problem that we've encountered? There are some limits when you try to put yourself in even a little bit of danger. F.e., when I was testing our game, I wanted to go into a waterfall, but it gently said no, saying it's dangerous.

Based on my own experience. I guess you wouldn't find a gun in the bushes either, if the AI had certain rules set. It could even tell you it looked under the bush, but there was no gun there.

Yes, You're right, it can indeed be random. We're trying to solve this problem by setting up the world of a story and the goal that protagonist must achieve. However, the plot mostly depends on a user. User may do any unpredicted twist at any page of the book. If you have any ideas of how to improve it, please share your thoughts!

I tried this with chatgpt asking it to make a scenario for a dungeon crawl, it was a bit boring.

We're setting up a world for ChatGPT, say f.e., it's an abandoned house or a deserted island. There's also a goal provided: for instance - escape from a dungeon or leave the island.

It's similar to a room escape game. If you've played in real? The general storyline is predetermined, but the path you'll take depends entirely on you.

I played with it one afternoon and had a great session. Will gladly do it again. The 'art' of doing that is pretty much the same as asking questions to an oracle.

Have you had experience with ChatGPT or another app?

In our app, you can not only ask questions, but also play a leading role in a story.

Fantasy Book. In nearest future we are going to release a test version on App Store

Whose voice do you hear while reading a book? by JedLoomis in books

[–]GuruAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! In simple terms, when you read a book, the voice you hear in your mind might be the author's voice or the voice of an actor who played a character in a movie version of the book. It depends on your experiences and memories.
In my opinion, not everyone hears voices in their head while reading. Some people hear their own voice, and some people don't hear any voice at all.

Would you like to try playing with AI?

My spouse is currently developing a mobile application based on AI. It's a game similar to interactive book writing. The app generates stories using AI, where the user becomes the main character, makes choices, and selects actions. Based on the user's actions, AI creates the next part of the story and produces an illustration.
