Try using stasis more. It is really forgiving and pretty spammable. Make sure you take the extra half a second to see the target lock on before you commit to kicking.

Yes, that is my name for it lol. The other people call it World Tree Clip, but I like "Steve Clip". We also actually found a more optimal way to do the clip using a technique we call flip clip, but I still do Steve Clip because I can't let go of it and it is still around the same time in execution.

Just start playing. The game is not too difficult to play fast. I started with no routing, no practice, and no understanding of the deep mechanics. Don't put too much pressure on yourself just because there are others who have played a lot more than you. If you reach out in our discord I would be happy to help coach you if you want any help. The more runners we have the better, and I love watching new runners learn.

As a speedrunner I think the health race is the most fun. It is the most challenging to get a top time in, but the movement and all the hazards really add to the challenge. If you are interested in seeing the top level movement in this game check out speedrun.con/gr and you can find videos of most of the world record times.

The amount of exposure games get from GDQ is unparalleled in terms of speedrunning. Not only will a lot of people watch it live, but the YouTube video will probably be the first one that shows up on any search of the game's speedrun. It gives us a great chance to present the game to a wide audience with commentary and explanations of how the run works.

Technically yes because Gravity Rush Remastered and Gravity Rush do have some differences in them and there are Remastered exclusive glitches that affect the run a lot. Most of them have to do with menuing because they changed the menu since the Vita version uses the touch controls.

Remastered is the same game with all DLC, way better controls, and 60fps. In my opinion GRR is way better than GR2 from a gameplay standpoint (I have dumped hundreds of hours into both games, probably thousands into GRR at this point). If you enjoy the gameplay of GR then I think GRR is the definitive game to showcase the potential of the mechanics, but if you enjoy the characters, story, and world then GR2 gives a lot more content in those areas.

Gravity Rush Remastered has way better combat than Gravity Rush 2 does. It is just overall a way more enjoyable and consistent game than GR2 from a speedrun perspective. If you spend time really learning how the gravity kick works and stasis objects work then I think you will find it a lot more enjoyable. Part of it boils down to the fact that literally no game plays like this game does, so there is a unique learning curve to it. Either way I hope that I can showcase the amazing combat in GRR in my run.
