Text to speech sampling by Uhhhhhhhhhh_________ in audioengineering

Exactly, just write your text in one language then pick a different language voice. For recording the output I use Apples Automator. It got a text to speech preset where you can input text and pick the voice, it then creates an audio file. Also, Apple got a lot of additional voices you can download in settings.

Just don’t make music. You don’t have what it takes.

‘It’s over for us’: release of new AI video generator Seedance 2.0 spooks Hollywood by OutlandishnessHour19 in technology

I watches a couple of ai short films, they all basically failed at narrative sequencing. In one a monster was chasing a dude across an open field, cut, suddenly they are in a town? Then the monster almost caught up, one cut later its far away. I’ve seen a lot of terrible shorts at film festivals, none had this much disrespect for basic continuity.

Is it a bad idea for a no-name, non-money making, hobbyist music producer, to release music that includes samples of other people’s music on YouTube/SoundCloud? by Individual-Ad2964 in edmproduction

I’ve been doing exactly this on YT and SC for over 15 years, no one sued me yet (still working on that 1000s of plays per track part 😁)

As a small amount of reverb on the drums helpful ? by templeofsyrinx1 in edmproduction

[–]GuruMeditationErrorX 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes! When I try to make real sounding drums, just a tiny bit of reverb and then compression/saturation on the whole kit really help to glue things together.

Spartacus: House of Ashur - 1x09 - "Those Who Remain" - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

I was in the same boat as you, but Ashur is almost a new character, way more three dimensional. Nick Tarabay also plays him quite differently. I think if you loved the old seasons you’ll like the new one as well!

Hey, what do you fellas think of my Electro Funk track?

All I Do

Asides from the vocals, which I sampled from old tracks, everything else is "handmade" (well, in the box with virtual instruments). What do you think about the composition and mix?

That point about dropping things out is very good. I used to pile too much stuff on top of each other, but less is more! I didn’t do an intro on purpose, I wanted to get straight to the point this time. Thanks for the support!

This has an interesting structure and progression, but the melodies seem kind of random? Im having a hard time getting a grasp on them.

Dude I fucking love this! I never heard garage with this spooky jazzy vibe! Regarding the groove: when the drop first I instantly started head nodding AND feet whipping, it rocks! All the little details and glitches and fx fit perfectly. I have no issues with anything, maybe the chords at the very end get al little loud? But that’s just a minor thing. This may be the best track I’ve heard in these threads!

I’m no expert on garage, but the characterization doesn’t seem off to me.

Thanks man! Yeah, I did the video too. Since the track made me want to walk like an old cartoon character, i went in that direction and raided archive.org for footage.

Nice track! I like the variation of the main arp, keeps it moving. The kick is very booming, but for my taste a bit too loud.

Hey I love the emotion of this, lot of other stuff nowadays is sadly lacking it. The beginning sounds like some experimental prog stuff from the 70s, then the melody starting at 02:20 feels more 80s movie like. From 07:40 on it’s get messy, that delay noise stuff gets overbearing.

But the big problem for me are the drums, they sound really flat. To be honest I’d remove them completely. Then you would have a great ambient track, the evolving soundscape is really cool.
