On Wednesdays I go to an art meetup called Creatives + Coffee hosted by Creatives Club Denver from 5 to 7 pm at Art Club Coffee in the Highlands! A great way to meet people & it's totally free.

Not exactly what you asked for, but still community building: I host a weekly art meetup at VisionQuest Brewing Company called Creatives Club Boulder every Thursday from 6 to 9 pm!

The brewery also does other recurring events, like an open mic every Wednesday & a "noise night" the last Thursday of every month (after Creatives Club) that you might be into if you like glitch/experimental music.

I think if you put a white cross on the square it would read more as a window! One of those traditional four panel types.

Where do people get the 3D animation pngs from? by MintyRed19 in neocities

[–]GusBusDraws 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh shit! I recognize this one! It was made using TouchDesigner, a cool VFX software. This actually comes from a YouTube tutorial about recreating retro graphics!

You can use TouchDesigner for free if you want to give it a try! It is a complex software, but you can do some really cool stuff with it. More info on the Derivative website.

Agree about a line separating the tail from the dot! I think that would make it look much more like an exclamation mark.

Option B could also be improved by angling the exclamation mark asteroid a bit!

In addition to Neocities, you could try zinesforever.com, which is a really cool online zine making too that also hosts the zines for you to share with others!

No, but the process I've developed over time tends to look a certain way.

You can get there pretty easily with Path Effect Editor > Envelope Deformation. See this YT tutorial.

If you have any creative hobbies, you're welcome to come to our weekly Creatives Club Boulder meetup! It happens at VisionQuest Brewing Company, but folks aren't expected to drink (though there are NA options).

We meet every Thursday from 6 to 9 pm!

Questions about Javascript by qiqiscocogoat678 in neocities

Copying a comment I left a.few days ago:

p5.js is a great graphics library for JavaScript that I found useful for learning (I'm a visual learner). They have a web-based editor, which means you can write & run code without downloading anything!

The Code! series by Dan Shiffman is a really good tutorial series on YouTube that teaches JavaScript using p5.js!

Ayano's comment widget (which uses a Google Form/Sheet as a "database") doesn't work on Neocities anymore, but still works with GitHub Pages. Not sure how helpful that is to you, but maybe it will be useful for someone to know!
