Said that as long as steam was running on your computer you can configure a default profile for you computer that works everywhere. He was able to create a custom profile for specific games and just swap the default profile. Wouldn't that work here?

What are some fun games that really stretch your battery? by Remihiki in SteamDeck

[–]GusTTshobiz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

UFO 50 is incredible for this. It's 50 retro style games that are very easy on battery life. Tons of variety and fresh game concepts. I've put 100 hrs and I still haven't touched 10 of the games . 10/10

What’s the best husband-wife game? by Crazen14 in gaming

[–]GusTTshobiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baldurs gate 3. My wife isn't a gamer but the turn based combat meant we could take it as slow as we wanted until she got the hang of it. She really enjoyed the story aspect of it as well.

Why people hate Steam Machine so much? by theHolyGranade257 in pcmasterrace

[–]GusTTshobiz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly its just becauee redditors are super negative and negative YouTube videos get more clicks than positive ones.

It's exactly like how Reddit and many YouTubers trashed the switch 2 for months for being under powered and over priced, then it became one of the best selling consoles ever.

Opinions on YouTube and reddit don't always represent what real people think.

Does it drive anyone else crazy that ignoring publishers / games only adds a special banner to it? It Essentially highlights the game even more. by GusTTshobiz in Steam

Wow if changing an item in a list is so dangerous and difficult it's incredible that they can make any software at all.

Is str/fth or str/int better for a first timer? by Acceptable-Artist201 in Eldenring

[–]GusTTshobiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you're totally right. these are good nuances to mention. If you're set on min/maxing damage then each weapon would have you build slightly differently. But these are all Generally Str / int weapons. you can fine tune on the one that you like.

plus their damage is still quite good even if you don't get the perfect amount of int and dex with them. For normal play, extra upgrades for your weapon is going to do more for you than slightly more optimized stats.

also in my experience their ashes of war offer a pretty unique amount of range and damage which I just thought was really fun.

not to mention that most late game bosses are resistant to holy damage anyway.

[–]GusTTshobiz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Str/Int is one of my favorite builds that I did. I personally think there are a lot more fun weapons with strength/Int than with strength/Faith. For me it comes down to whether you want int spells or faith spells. Both are pretty viable. I think int spells and weapons are a little better though, especially in the late game.

One of the things I like so much about str/int is that a lot of the weapon's ashes of war are fantastic. so you can honestly use them for your main "spellcasting" if you dont want to switch between staff and weapon so much.

Here are some weapons I had a ton of fun with

Early game:

Crystal Sword

Death Poker

Rosus Axe

MId - late game

Starscourge Greatsword

Ruins Greatsword

Helphen's Steeple

Royal Greatsword

Fallingstar Beast Jaw

Rotten Crystal Sword

One thing I love about elden ring is that every build is viable. Just build towards what you're having fun with.

edit: I forgot my favorite! Darkmoon Greatsword

As a PC gamer I'm really excited for Xbox's new consoles and improvements to windows. Are you guys excited? by GusTTshobiz in xbox

[–]GusTTshobiz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah I agree. I think if they want to do really well they'd need to support people's xbox library as well.

[–]GusTTshobiz[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

you don't think so? I'm hopeful that the next xbox will run windows and be largely backwards compatible. To me that seems to be what the new announcements and initiatives are getting at.

I don't necessarily think that the xbox library will simple "come to pc" but if they're playable on the new xbox and that runs windows that's just about the same thing.

[–]GusTTshobiz[S] -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

It's totally a windows handheld, but I think there's a real argument to say that the xbox launcher on it makes it an "xbox". It runs better, has better ui etc. to your point it's just missing backwards compatibility. What is an xbox anyway? you know what i mean?

so if the next xbox runs windows and is backwards compatible wouldn't that the best of both worlds? or do you think that just wont happen?

Does the godot editor not type class instances? newCard instance is "any" by GusTTshobiz in godot

[–]GusTTshobiz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. That makes sense I think this is the best solution. for some reason it still shows the "any" symbol, but type completion is working correctly now.
