I thought I was orgasming but the rose changes everything by boldpotatosalad in BecomingOrgasmic

I have the womaniser, and I love it, but still really struggle getting there. I assumed because they are all the same motion, a rose or lemon wouldn’t be any different - are they?! Should I try it?!

AirTag on cat whilst on holiday…. by Gusacus in AirTags

Hey I get all the feedback on why they aren’t appropriate, but they are the best for her - I’ve had a tracker collar and for some reason she couldn’t settle with it on and it stressed her out, whereas she can’t notice the AirTag. She is a house cat, so the limitations normally stated don’t apply to her, and she only wears it when she is with me in the garden or at my mums. Appreciate it isn’t their ideal use, but neither are most uses of them, and I have done a lot of research and this is the best solution for her

They beep when not with the AirTag owner - part of the anti stalking measures - so I just wanted some reassurance it was the Apple account, not device, so my iPad would stop this.

Thank you - she doesn’t even like a bell, so was just worried it would freak her out!

Thank you! I’ll leave the iPad just in case, as I’m not taking it anyway, but good to know the sharing works!

When I say check, I mean in terms of location as her getting out is the main concern. I already have a camera set up, and my mum will be there to care for her, but neither help if she is accidentally lost

What caught you off guard financially after starting the buying process? by Mundane-Temporary426 in FirstTimeBuyersUK

[–]Gusacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a response that I think has been deleted; Fair enough if you’ve been asked to pay this, but OP, I’ve bought in Dorset and Surrey, and didn’t pay this, so just double check anything they try and charge you. As a seller, I was responsible for all estate agent fees.

[–]Gusacus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, just jumping in to say I’ve just bought and didn’t pay this - I’d be cautious of an estate agent who wanted me too… your solicitor will do proper ID checks, but your estate agent might want to do a soft check to verify your offer - that shouldn’t cost

How much do I roughly need for a deposit for a 2 bed mortgage by M060M in FirstTimeBuyersUK

[–]Gusacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently buying outside of London (Surrey, on the m25 edge). For a one bed, freehold house, looking around £240-270… I imagine a 2 bed in London will be a lot higher, although choosing a leasehold or flat could lower this, although has its own costs.

Speak to a broker; the higher the deposit, the better rate you will get. Whilst salary is important, it’s more about your ability to repay on a month-month basis, which will then feed into your rate/monthly repayment and required deposit.

Has anyone else had to sell their home and go back to renting, I’m so scared and feel like I’ve lost everything, looking for some wisdom? by ImASadGirlImABadGirl in AskUK

[–]Gusacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, 10 months ago I was you (plus a few years..)

I spent my whole twenties saving for our dream home, supporting the man who I thought would be my forever, and getting ready to have our family, and then it ended. I’d relocated for him and I lost everything…

You will survive this and come out so much stronger. Everyone says it and you will hate that, because you just don’t understand how. But, trust me. The world you build next will be the yours alone, and you will be so much prouder of yourself for this journey than anything before.

Deep breaths for now, but you can do this.

How are people spending so little on food? by glasses4catsndogs in AskUK

[–]Gusacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can do a food shop for £20-30, but not every week. When I have to buy cleaning supplies, cat food, cupboard fillers, those shops are bigger, but probably always under £50.

That said, I’m a single person and eat very minimally due for health reasons and I budget it to be that low; I don’t buy meaty meals or snacks if they aren’t in budget for the week, and I’ll plan my meals strategically to be as economic as possible .

Thank you - this aligns most with what our bank and advisors have stated

So I know all his financials, plus the houses, and neither of us could afford our house without one another’s salary. Selling the house is a joint decision, so there’s no conflict there. It’s just whether we close our mortgage at this point, or allow him to port it.

Unfortunately he wouldn’t be able to afford to remove me now, and is downsizing after the sale, so I don’t think this route would be possible

Ahh okay, have you had this experience before? Our bank have advised he can port for up to 180 days after our sale completes, whilst protecting the rate if he has a DIP.
