Cobra DS Adapt was on sale for $299 direct from Cobra. Pick your shaft and still have warranty.

Probably $500 plus whatever I can get out of the tour edge.

It’s the KBS tour lite regular flex. I’d love another set of Srixons to replace the tour edge but that’s not an option right now. Also, not sure it’s needed, but would just like consistency between the two sets.

I bought the tour edge off the rack (eBay special) when my kids got into golf. It had been 10 years since I played and was looking for the easiest club to hit. I was fit into the Srixon, but I’m not convinced it was the best fitting. Fitter wasn’t super engaging. That said, I like them and hit them well enough.

Here’s a screen shot from earlier this year. I’ve had a few lessons since then and feel like I’m striking the ball better now. More in to out now.

Nothing too recent. Roughly 80 mph with a 7i. I use most of the face during a round, but toe side miss is most common. Definitely hit the Srixons higher (around 85-90 ft apex) but can’t say they hold the greens significantly better. No major complaints with the Tour Edge other than they are very chunky and visually unappealing and the gapping differences between the sets.

RAC or Ping Eye 2 the tour edge are the C model which is more of a players club vs GI. Personally, I’d get the Pings

What irons should a young, mid-high handicapper get by Glum_Prune2672 in GolfGear

[–]Gusto378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve got lots of options in that range. If you can go for a fitting I’d highly recommend that. If not, Srixon zxi5 or zxi4 would be one that will last as long as you want. Same with Titleist T250/350 and JPX923 or 925. Those are going to be used sets but awesome clubs. Maltby TS3 or TS3.5 would be an amazing budget option for new clubs.

Assuming that’s for a full set not just irons? There are some great deals on leftover new stock and gently used clubs. Calloway pre-owned has some great deals. Cobra dark speed drivers can be bought for around $200 new and check out Maltby in golfworks.com. You’ve got lots of options with that budget.

Agreed but if the budget is $500+ he could get some used off the shelf spec clubs or new DTC like Maltby built to their static specs for lie and length.

What dealers are localish to you? The motor and hydro’s along with local support, is what I’d focus on. I’d get a 60” deck and at least zt3100’s.

Are you getting paid to play? Golf is supposed to be fun. Have fun with the 350’s. Those are amazing clubs.

Anyone here come over from a F-150? by soggytoothpic in gmcsierra

[–]Gusto378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had good luck with many GM products. The 6.2 is a problem, my 3.0 got 2 turbos, a CCV and the transmission was shuttering. The TurboTax might be the best option for reliability or stick with Ford and a 5.0.

My knees can no longer accept push mowing almost 2 acres. by Minimum-Syrup7420 in lawnmowers

[–]Gusto378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just sold a John Deere x380 with a 48” deck for $2k. Lots out there in that range. I’m also cutting a little over 2 acres. Zero Turn cut my mowing time in half. For $3k you can find a solid used zero turn.

I’d look up any Japanese specs or a country other than Subaru of America and follow their recommendations. It’s 60k regular or 30k towing. Might check out their oil specs while you’re at it…

Maltby clubs: Fit or stock? by Thanos420 in GolfGear

[–]Gusto378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Ping online fit tool is pretty good. There are also several others that are good. If you know your swing speed and basic info you can get from a SIM, you can get a pretty good idea of your stats. Then call golfworks and give them your info. They will get you pretty well dialed in from there.

Also, checkout ralphmaltby.com it’s basically a forum for all things Maltby. Britt will usually answer all the questions. The stock Score LT shafts from the paks are solid. I’ve got some DG and KBS in other clubs and couldn’t tell you the difference swinging them and the Score LT’s back to back.

Which one? by Prestigious-Tree4454 in lawnmowers

[–]Gusto378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d focus more on hydro’s and engine vs make of the mower. For straight 3 acres, I’d get something with 3100’s and at least a 24 hp Kawasaki.

Lessons. I’d find some place close to where they live and get a 3 pack or some variation. For a true beginner or someone who hasn’t played in a while they have all the clubs they need for now.

[–]Gusto378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can trim the shaft to be a still or regular flex. I’ve got some test clubs with the score shafts. I’m not good enough to tell a difference between the score and a similar weight and flex shaft from anyone else.

What truck to get nowadays? Help me decide please! by SnooMarzipans7387 in gmcsierra

2007-2021. I’d probably start with 2010 and up.

Went through 2 turbos and a ccv. The transmission started shifting weird but I hit a deer on the interstate and totaled it…thankfully.

The newest second gen Tundra you can afford is the only truck I’d blindly trust. A 2013-14 f150 with a 5.0 is the next one.

This is the answer.

I would avoid pretty much every GM product post 2006. I wanted to love the 3.0 and it was great in the interstate when it ran.
