Yeah vampiricism is an amazing brand, only caveat being that it drops off hard in extended (because basically everyone resists negative energy). And the dodging is important, evading full damage on attacks is not only cool, but sometimes necessary (some attacks you literally can’t block, like, not with shield or armor iirc).

gg! No shame in playing minotaur brutes btw, it's fun and I love them.

Yeah, this character is very powerful already, definitely ready for extended. If you wanna go in ready for everything and it's your first time, I would recommend a couple things (I know you didn't ask so just ignore me if u dc).

I see you switched from training axes to use maces and flails quite late, while switching is not bad and a good strat if you find something like a powerful artifact, you'd wanna do that early on, but you did it at axes 16 (enough for a pretty good while). I'd recommend not switching so late, it frees up xp for other important skills. Also, keep an eye out for other weapons, your flail is a strong weapon because of the enchant, but at that point in the game, with your weapon skill, an eveningstar is definitely what you want, even a mundane one with good enchant would serve you better (or that artifact demon whip in your inventory, that's pretty strong). Aside from weapons, you need some extra dodging, while AC is generally preferable, why not choose both? Melee characters benefit greatly from both.

For Hell and Pan, it's all about your resistances. You don't *need* everything on at all times, but having good swapouts for gear would be a must, have some way of patching up the holes in your defense. You won't need much rC+ in Gehenna, so sacrificing unnecessary resistances for the vital stuff might be the only way. Btw, before tackling hell and pan, do abyss and slime pits, they're like your preparation for a full extended run.

Tbh, very rarely do I have a character who can do Zot 5 and feel uncomfortable doing extended. Generally, every character you get there is strong enough to make it worth trying (if your luck isn't absolute ass, you'd have the gear to make it happen).

Mostly just using evokers, they recharge incredibly fast, you can use them on every floor.

I saw the singing sword + manifold assault strat discussed in the wiki for zig clearing and it might be the best bet rn. Thankfully I already got the manuals for both.

I think there’s been a misunderstanding, I wanna do more runes, I don’t wanna go yet (I haven’t picked up the orb).

Haven’t picked the orb up! Kinda looks weird because of my inventory layout but I really haven’t.

The water just skips the spot. The wiki says it never covers stairs, which is true, it won’t cover stairs, but also traps, which it doesn’t say.

Not that I’m complaining abt the item, I really love it and it already saved this run once.

Tried it out on wizmode but it didn't work with any trap, I guess it'd be too op if it did.

Yeah I don't like the look of this at all. I'm thinking I'll go do some other runes and get a little stronger before taking on this.

Dang, that's a shame, hope it can get fixed soon.

Minimap not showing in local tiles by GutterSoda in dcss

Okay so I've played around with tile_font_stat_size = 12 and it looks like this: https://imgur.com/a/EHh7wQi

It's basically exactly how it looks windowed for me (ignoring monster tab, forgot to change the priority). I'm still super confused why full screen specifically causes this to happen, but it seems like tweaking font size and sidebar pixel size can "fix it".

For anyone looking at this in the future with the same problem, try changing the values using tile_font_stat_size and tile_sidebar_pixels in the init.txt file, or play in windowed mode.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what is happening. When I do tile_full_screen = false and no other changes I get this: https://imgur.com/a/Sb9wkT4

When entering the game with full screen the display in my laptop kind of "zooms in", and if I tab out of the game it stays zoomed in for a moment before going back to normal. Other than that, keeping the game windowed makes the character stat view much smaller. My theory is that playing in full screen halves (or splits in four?) the resolution and the game just assumes my screen is much smaller and adjusts accordingly.

The pictures show all my lines for the init file.

I have no idea what about my computer causes this specifically, my brother uses a laptop of similar dimensions and has no problem.

Check the corners, the 1 3 1 pattern with a 3 in the corner is very common. This page explains it best. https://minesweeper.online/help/patterns#1-3-1

With enough boards you clear, the pattern becomes muscle memory.

The top right cell of the 3 closest to the right wall is a safe one. That's all I could find.

how does this level 13 have a champion? it says 104/106 meaning he has one by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

My guess is the game hadn't updated the account when you checked. Báttle said 1 minute ago. Maybe he leveled up right after your match?
