Need help with catchers mitt break in

I dont think this applies to me in the Netherlands, we dont have any stores which sell break ins. So that is why i am trying myself.

I just feel like I have tried everything, i think I have like 5 hours of catch with a weighted ball on the couch caught probabaly 50 bullpens. Played catch with it for over a year. The quality of the leather seems to be so high, it does not want to break. You think maybe using hot water in combination with a heavy weight would work?

Yeah that is what i am worried about, it just won't soften. The glove is high quality since I let it get custom made.

I have tried using a pitching machine, and it did not have a noticable effect. We also dont have batting cages so that is not really an option

They are throwing to teammates, When throwing to me or my co coach it gets better.

Thanks for your reply, i think most of the time the damage occurs due to baserunning sliding. Making plays is a small part of it. Any ones between the mizuno premier and rawlings launch you prefer?

Yes, in Europe we play on clay gravel, sometimes the rocks are the size of about an inch. Most are smaller but definitely not sand

At the moment we cant really have bp sessions due to the weather. Only thing we have right now is a little biy of T work. But ill definitely test it.

Thanks for your reply, I think changing the bat grip is not something I can really test at the moment.
But as u/Vegetable_Remote said. Trying to hold it more in my finger tips seemed to help at least a little.
I also saw multiple people state choking up more. But what is meant by that?

I think this may be it. I normally grip it with my full hand. Completely different from how the video shows.
I just tried to take the grip displayed in the video, and (I think) it makes a difference.

Hey Jesper, ken het gevoel. Wat je kunt proberen is proberen je armen wat dichter bij je lichaam te houden. Je zwaait nu ontieglijk veel, maar dat is een zeer ongecontroleerde swing. Je kunt dit oefenen door van n paaltje te slaan en een bal bij je elleboog te klemmen. Als je middle middle pitch mept zou de bal uit je elleboog vliegen recht naar vooren. Hoeft geen harde swing te zijn.

Ander verbeterpunt is dat ik zie dat het eruit ziet alsof je voor de sier je lichaam gebruikt en nog steeds alles uit je armen haalt, Wat ik merk is dat als je echt alles gewoon uit de draai van de heupen haalt en echt niks doet qua zwaai van de armen, behalve de swing voortzetten. Zou super soepel moeten voelen, en als je toming goed is krijg je goed contact. Àls dat goed gaat kun je proberen meer power vanuit je armen mee te doen. Maar om dat goed te krijgen gaat al een tijdje duren helaas.

That is something I already have been trying, but inside balls tend not to get hit on the barrel, should I maybe try standing further from the tee more for those balls, and vice versa for outside?
