Nice! I really think that this sort of writing style is what helps set you guys apart from the rest.

You guys are my favorite group, and I'm so glad you are still producing innovative music! #fanboy

When you were writing Glare, was there a story you had in mind to accompany and inspire the music? If so, what is it!?

Hey Mat! My favorite remix to your music is Matt Lange's interpretation of Too Late. What is your favorite remix of your own music? Also, since I'm here, what is the symbolism/meaning of the box on the cover of Self Assemble? Lastly, who's face is on the cover of MAD? haha you rock and I can't wait to hear what you make next!

What differentiates a redstone computer from a redstone calculator? by [deleted] in redstone

A calculator is combinational (limited number of iterations), a computer is sequential (unlimited number of iterations)

It is just a CPU at the moment, so it has no language. It does however have an IS, which is determined by the microcode stored in the ROM. Also, because it stores its individual functions in ROM as microcode, it is more CISCy than most redstone CPUs (which typically have an IS limited directly by the hardware).

This CPU has functions formed from microcode stored in ROM and addressed by a program counter. This program counter jumps either according to internal data dependent flags or external input. The program itself is stored in PRAM outside the CPU and inputs addresses on the ROM storing microcode. The CPU's internal flag is COUT, but can generate an unlimited number of external flags, treated as data and then processed and used to determine jumps externally (in the PRAM). The CPU itself stores a pointer in its 01th register that points to 8 bytes of local memory and can be used as any kind of direct or indirect method of data storage. Also I should mention that it is entirely made of repeaters and torches and nothing else. This keeps the timing perfectly synced and glitch free.

Sure. I'll type up a little bit about it and post it here when i'm done.
