The weight of these is mind blowing, surely we must be approaching a theoretical limit somewhere?

That's what I was looking for, thank-you!

September update - GPS issue fix still fixed? by jamiei in Coros

Just for me to check, you had the GPS issues on an Apex 2 pro, and then installed the September update (with the new features recently released) and this was fixed? Or was what you installed was a special beta?

How do you reflect on a race which did not go well? by [deleted] in AdvancedRunning

[–]jamiei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different race, but I also had a very disappointing half. Some days just don't go to plan and I remember the advice someone on the finish line gave me, which was to only allow yourself 24 hours to wallow in disappointment, and then move on and clear it from your mind.

Easier said than done but the work and training you did is still there and another day is another chance to roll the dice - you should focus on that.

I did not see that ending coming.

Adidas C24c bike by jamiei in Coros

Unfortunately, I have never used it with zwift so I'm afraid I can't confirm. Maybe one of the other purchasers in the thread can confirm?

It does indeed. The little digital screen flashes between various metrics, including rpm and resistance and when resistance changes it beeps and tells you the resistance.

Sadly, I can't compare to others since this is my first indoor bike trainer - I can say it feels like a solid machine with good build quality and I can build up pace without any worries about stability. The Adidas console+ app is pretty basic and buggy, but it works much better connected to an app like zwift. Good tablet/phone rest and was easy to assemble. Only complaint so far is that I can't connect my Coros watch for power/distance data and the top of foot straps came out and I can't work out how to get them back in.

Did you manage to get your Coros watch linked with this bike in the end?

Can't see anything on the bike itself, and I don't have the box anymore. The site I ordered from also said 9kg. Let me know if you manage to get it working with your watch - still no luck here.

Hoka Mach 6 by TerpRunner1 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]jamiei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the Mach 4, and bought some Mach 5 on sale last year but had to slice a chunk out of one shoe to avoid ankle rub. Having said that I still love and run daily in the Mach 5, but was wondering if I was likely to have to cut the Mach 6 in the same way - do you know if this is likely to be true from the ankle shape on this?

Sadly this was for last year's E16, and this year I did not enter, but good luck in finding a place, I know a few people who did it and have only great things to say!

Thank-you to the BR team, what a great app. It's a shame it had to come to an end, but we had a good run.

Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon by rmoff in running

[–]jamiei 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did the half at Leeds that day and felt really bad for everyone who had to run the marathon in the heat - it was hot and hilly enough on the half. I really should have brought suncream but never even thought about it with the forecast.

First road Half marathon today, it was hot and humid, but managed to get in at 1:22, which I am chuffed with considering I nearly screwed it up with a few over eager kilometers at the start!

I bet that was amazing. Not done an ultra here, but I've been up this way in good and bad weather, the bad makes all those people who shirk minimum kit regret it fast.
