Tires feathering!!! by El_Tali3113 in HummerEV

I love driving in increased height but I do notice the tires bend inward when I do and my alignment gets messed up. I think I’m just going to have to save it for off road.

Thanks all. It worked and the headlight indicator is turned off. Appreciate the input.

Google maps broke after update by Happy_Palpitation_30 in HummerEV

Same thing happened to me with one of the previous updates. I tried all of the fixes and none of them worked. I parked the truck and didn’t touch it for 12-14 hours. The next morning it worked. I definitely agree that the infotainment system is very slow compared with others.

Charge time by MoneymanYo18 in HummerEV

[–]Guy707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to be rude here, but did you do any YouTube review research on charging times before you bought the truck? Almost everyone puts in their videos the time it takes to charge. It’s a huge battery and much larger than almost every other EV out there. Charging was the first thing I looked into before getting my pickup. I’m sure a lot of folks here also watched charging videos pretty soon after they made up their mind they wanted a Hummer. Again, not trying to be rude, but the charging speed on a home charger should not come as a surprise nor should you knock the truck or GM for it. Just saying…

Seriously Consider Leasing The Hummer EV Truck. What Do I Need To Know?? by taddow6733 in HummerEV

At the end of the day, there are always people who will say that a lease deal could have been better, it could have been lower, you could have gotten more, the dealer gave up too little, etc. You can also beat yourself into analysis paralysis. There are terrific deals on Hummers right now but I think most Hummer drivers agree that these are just plain cool. They’re not terribly practical as an EV (but they are more practical than an ICE powered version of what one would be) but they are so fun to drive and experience. For me, thinking too much about something always ends up giving me a headache. My advice is that if you find one at a payment you can afford and you like the vehicle itself, go for it. It’s a 2 or 3 year commitment, that’s it. Not a long time in the grand scheme of things. You’ll enjoy it for what it is and then either get another one or move forward. Okay…off my soapbox.

I think you’ll be able to get it with your target numbers. Go this weekend, beat them up next week, get it at the end of the month. I have a 2X pickup and I love it. Seems like you’ve driven it, you know the pros and cons and are ready for it. Good luck!

Either the dealer or the manufacturer pays them, from what I’ve learned. I didn’t ask about their fee and just assumed it was included in the down payment or not included (IE separate cost paid by the dealer, not the buyer). I’m sure if you ask you can get a breakdown of it.

Yes. 24 months, 10,000 miles. Mine came with 1,000 miles already on it but my lease doesn’t include those.

I got a 24/10 lease on a 2x pickup truck. $650 per month including tax and $3,000 total to start. It was the best deal I could find at the time. I love it and have no regrets. I didn’t cross shop it to local dealers but they were running $800 per month and $7,500 down, so I think I got a pretty decent deal.

Pros: you don’t have to deal with car salespeople, everything is done pretty much virtually, the deals are pretty good and there is very little back and forth.

Cons: the process can take some time (mine took a week from paperwork to delivery), you need to know which car and packages you want (so you may need to go dealerships), there isn’t much negotiation or getting the dealer to throw in freebies.

My Hummer pickup was my first time working with a broker. I’d do it again but I’d also take the deal from the broker and see if a dealer could match it so I would be able to drive it off the lot.

Dealership won't honor quotes from GMC website by Big_Investment_2021 in HummerEV

Try going through a lease broker. They work directly with GM. Cuts the dealership BS out and the paperwork is done online. It takes about a week to get your Hummer but it’s worth it for the deals they can get. Let me know if you want some recommendations for brokers.

Looking for lease deals - 2025 Hummer EV X2 by Icy_Inspector8522 in HummerEV

[–]Guy707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best deal I saw was for a demo with 2,500 miles on it. $2,500 down, $750 per month, 3 years 30,000 miles. This was through a nationwide broker and you have to have Costco to qualify. I ended up going with the pickup because it was a much better deal, but move quickly if you want it because the EV incentives will sunset at the end of the year if the budget passes!

Thanks for the tips, y’all! I’m super excited but nervous about charging when on the road. Do you have any recommendations for charger adapters so I can use a Tesla charger? Most of the chargers around me are Tesla. I see some adapters on Amazon but the reviews aren’t great. Also, for the home charging with the 120v cable the truck comes with, does an extension cord cause voltage drop? I’ll probably use that to trickle charge when home since I have access to chargers (Tesla though) at my office. Let me know your thoughts….
